Glebe Chiropractic Clinic

I have seen all of the doctors there, but Dr. Baird is my main care-giver. Everybody there is just AWESOME! I can't say enough great things. I limp in, and walk out. Highly recommend!

I am writing this review in the context of being a younger and ambitious PhD student, new parent, recreational athlete, and someone who, despite doing my best to stay active, experiences many life stressors, spinal vulnerabilities and postural issues in my everyday life. I have had major lower back issues since the age of seventeen, and prior to undertaking Chiropractic care in Ottawa in my early twenties, I tried Physiotherapy and prescribed medications by doctors. I found that Chiropractic care was the only method of treatment that was effective both in terms of recovery speed and longevity. After being away from Chiropractic care for a number of years, I encountered a major lower back injury last Fall that resulted in serious twisting of my spine and pain intense enough that I could barely walk. I could no longer lift my toddler or work on a computer. I phoned the Glebe Clinic after having no success finding an immediate appointment at other clinics nearer to where I live. They gave me an intake appointment right away with Dr. Moore. I was pretty miserable when I came to the clinic because I was uncertain if I would get adjusted the day of my first appointment (which was a Friday), as most clinics operate stringently on this policy. However, after receiving a detailed explanation of the clinic policies by knowledgeable administrative staff, a comprehensive exam and assessment by Dr. Moore, and detailed overview of her proposed treatment plan, she adjusted me that day because she could see that I was in a lot of pain. I experienced relief right away, and she even came in the next day (Saturday) which was her usual day off because she didn’t want me to go too long without a second adjustment. Receiving this kind of care so quickly cut my pain in about half, and by the end of the next week I was functional enough to go back to work and resume my daily parenting duties. By the second and third week, I was back to exercising, and after a couple of months it was as though the major injury had never happened. While I have never felt under any kind of pressure at this clinic, I chose to stick with their recommended treatment plan of reconstructive care and maintenance to avoid running into this scenario again. Since my initial injury, I haven’t experienced another major issue and my function has improved in all areas of my spine. This is coming from a person who has always had major flexibility issues and tight muscles that make me more prone to these kinds of injuries. If you have the adequate coverage, I’d suggest following through with the treatment plan as it is my experience that with natural life stressors, getting a regular adjustment every now and then helps identify problems before you end up like I was the day I walked into the clinic. Having experienced Chiropractic care at two other clinics in Ottawa over the past decade, I would definitely rate this clinic as #1 overall in Ottawa. There are a number of reasons why. 1) All the staff there are best summed as professional, friendly, efficient, and accommodating. 2) They take a great deal of time to answer any of your questions and explain the clinic policies and purpose of treatment. 3) The administrative staff members are incredibly skillful and friendly. They’ve responded to all of my erratic email requests for appointment changes within 30 minutes of sending it. If I had that kind of email response rate in my workplace, my life would be a lot less stressful. 4) They play good and diverse music in the lounge. 5) The days I have showed up quite early because of varying bus schedules, they usually have taken me in right away. I have suffered no social consequences either when I have come there a bit late. 6) It’s a clean and warm atmosphere overall. 7) The treatment works. They are compassionate. So if you’re like me, and you are looking for some consistent, comprehensive and effective relief from nagging spinal issues, this is the place to go in Ottawa. Dr. Moore is a great chiropractor.

Very friendly and welcoming staff! The office space is always kept clean and both the assistants and doctors really care about the patients. Highly recommend this clinic!

Nice clinic with good chiropractors and massage therapists and very prifessional, friendly staff. Great location if you live in the Glebe. Free parking is hard to find if you have to drive there though.

I have been visiting Glebe chiropractic clinic for about 3 yrs now, they are always fantastically on the ball about calling me and scheduling apointments (as i move back and forth from ottawa) and i am the worst at missing appointments (as much as i don't mean to inconvenience anyone) they are always very kind and make no fuss with simply rescheduling for me. Fantastic chiropractors (all of them) and amazing staff that are welcoming and so good at accommodating to your needs.
