No one ever expects to become injured on the job to the point of having to give up their lifelong, much-loved career. It is a devastating and anxiety-ridden ordeal. Your income suddenly tanks, you’re forced to spend your savings and then even start using credit to survive. But when the private disability insurance you have paid into for the better part of 4 decades suddenly terminates the benefits you desperately need to make ends meet… that’s just downright scary. When within 18 months of receiving partial disability benefit payments, I was informed by the insurance company that, in their opinion, I no longer qualified and that my next monthly benefit payment was to be the last, I had no idea where to turn. How does someone like me even begin to take on a massive, multi billion dollar insurance company? It seemed like a David and Goliath situation. I asked a few trusted people for recommendations and Dietrich Law was the one name that kept coming up. From the first phone conversation with Lina, I had no doubt I was in good hands. Both she and Kathy Simons who agreed to represent me were kind, knowledgeable, and professional through and through. They kept me informed and updated every step of the way, taking the time to patiently explain “legalese” to me whenever I had questions. I will be forever grateful to Kathy and the Dietrich team for successfully fighting for me and giving me back some hope for the future.
