I had a wonderful experience working with James Cameron at Raven Law against my disability insurance provider. After a careful selection process among few disability lawyers in Ottawa I decided to hire James Cameron of Raven Law to represent my case. My first contact with Raven Law was with James Cameron's assistant Celine. She was very knowledgeable and helped answer my immediate questions on the phone before I got my first meeting with James. At our first meeting, James was very understanding to my case. He listened attentively and gave me the different options I have going forward. He seemed sincere and honest and very knowledgeable. I dealt with James for about six months before my case was resolved with the insurance provider. During those months I felt very well taken care of and in good hands with James, his assistant Celine and his fellow partner Kim Patenaude. Even when my case was challenging James kept his cool and made me feel protected. I highly recommend James Cameron and Raven Law for anyone who is struggling with disability and labour legal issues.

Dealing with LTD insurance when also dealing with illness is not easy; but when I engaged Raven Law, I found I was able to focus on getting well while they focused on LTD. I met with James Cameron and Kim Patenaude to discuss the details of my case, they were friendly, professional and honest. My situation was handled with knowledge and experience, my options were always clearly and fully explained, questions answered, and concerns addressed. When my company's Long Term Disability provider denied my claim, even though we met their criteria I was told to seek out a lawyer. While there were a few that friends suggested, I also did a bit of research on my own. I found three firms initially and of the three the one that seemed to be the most promising was Raven Law, the other firm's websites seemed to be geared just to advertising and did not provide a lot of information about the processes and outcomes. Raven Law's website was more about informing their future clients on the possibilities, while being honest about the potential outcomes. I contacted Raven Law through their online contact page and my email was promptly answered and an initial appointment with James Cameron was arranged promptly. During our initial meeting with James and all consequent meetings and hearings, he always had a calming demeanor, when answering my questions he was forth right and did not sugar coat things or gloss over the details. He was very adept at being able to explain the complicated legalese and processes in terms that I could understand and always ensured that I was okay with his explanations before moving on to the next item of business. His assistant, Celine was outstanding and was my main point of contact with James throughout this whole process. She answered every email and phone call promptly and ensured that I had all the documents needed to gather all my information they required to prepare my case. In the end, because of James and Celine's hard work, I was able to get a positive settlement for my Long Term Disability case. J Moore
