Do not go near this company, they will take your money but not pay out claims or follow the law. Our home burnt down August 10th which is now 6 months ago and to date they refuse to get back to us about our insurance. After the fire we reached out to our broker to find out what to do, we were put in touch with our claims adjuster that immediately requested an interview that consisted of 5 minutes asking what was in the house and caused the fire and 55 minutes about asking what my financial situation and business dealings were which should have been the first red flag. We were then told that he would reach out to the insurance company and get back to us about living expenses. After a few weeks we were not able to get an answer out of the adjuster about what we were supposed to be doing so we reached out to our broker who confirmed that we had additional living expenses on our policy and there must have been some sort of misunderstanding. They reached out to the insurance company and then got back to us saying that we were on our own and they wouldn't cover any of our expenses while they were investigating the fire. Insurance companies are required to act in the utmost of good faith in their dealings with their clients, telling their clients that just lost everything that they are on their own while they investigate is basically the definition of bad faith. Someone on day one decided that they couldn't or didn't want to pay this claim and have been working backwards every since trying to justify their decision and haven't been able to come up with anything so they've switched strategies to completely ignoring us. We filed a proof of loss in September which the statutory regulation requires them to respond to within 30 days notifying us what they are doing, they completely ignored this and just decided not to respond, after repeated requests they either don't get back to us or just say they will and then never do, finally after 5 months they asked to do an examination under oath which I gladly agreed to however haven't responded since. It's now 6 months later and we've yet to see a dime for our expenses or any word what they are doing for our home and possessions. Luckily we are able to cover our additional living expenses however many families would not be able to do this after having just moved to a new town, not knowing anyone and losing everything they owe but Heartless Farms simply doesn't care, we could be living on the street and it wouldn't make a difference to them. They've hired an investigator and keep pulling credit reports and after 6 months can't find anything on us so their strategy is now just ignore you until us until we go away instead. Acting in complete bad faith, stay far far away. Anyone whose had similar experiences with these guys please contact me as there are a couple news outlets putting together articles now on them and additional experiences would help.

One star is too high. The customer service at this company is the worst I’ve ever deal with. Can’t wait to end my remaining policy and get away.
