I was trying to activate my credit card with national bank, they asked me series of questions that they feel I should know by heart, 1) What is the street of the bank you opened the card? I gave them the major intersection and its not enough?? okay I got that figured out and provided it to them 2) they wanted to know the year I opened my card? I told them I dont know, I said I can tell you more details about my account since I have opened my online account, the answer was "no you have to tell us when you have opened your account". What sort of inflexibility do they have in this bank, I do understand the security, but I am also offering more information that are more important that can prove that I am who I am. Secondly prior to this they have asked me 4 other questions - isnt that enough. I have been on point with my payments will multiple products under NB, Its time to go and bring my business somewhere else. So beware if you are trying to open a credit card with NB, their questioning is ridiculous and is not flexible. If you want to stick with them make sure that you are fully aware of the dates you have done business with them, if not your screwed. If there is only a zero star I would have rated them that. Fyi your neighboring bank TD is 3 stars not as low as the rating for this bank. Its time to move.

Rude staff, very untrained tellers. Don’t park your money with NBC, they are the smallest bank out of all the others. Reason being their unprofessional service. There finanacial products are a rip off..

The worst bank ever!! After moving out of the country and not using the account for over 3 years they continue to charge the service fee and advise the only way to close is to come into the branch! They have no way to collect on the debt but would prefer you have it regardless. Even when I was in the country I changed to RBC and Tangerine which are both AMAZING BANKING INSTITUTIONS! This bank however is the worst don’t sign up close your account and run!! Staff is horrible when I called they couldn’t even find my account. But are charging me worst ever!
