Awful branch. I went to ask for a letter to confirm my account was closed and that there was a 0 balance, the lady at reception told me that I have a balance on my favour and gave me a paper to collect the money, I told her that it is supposed to be 0 but she insisted that it was in my favour. I went to the line and waited, they gave me the money and when they tried closing/updating the account they realized they made a mistake. The customer support supervisor told the teller to asked me for the money back (not sure why he didn't ask it personally since he said it loud enough for me to hear it), I gave them the money and I requested a paper that says the account is closed and the balance is 0, they told me they could not do it and that I will have to call the Call Center. I called the Call Center and they told me to go to the branch and they should be able to give me the letter, I explained the representative what just happened and she told me that the statement will be mailed to my address. The personal in the branch should know what they are doing, the tellers were very polite but they didn't know what they were doing. Please provide better training to your associates in order to sell a service, it seems the associates and supervisor are just guessing instead of having a solid knowledge.

This Branch of The Bank of Nova Scotia in Brampton is not even worth my 1star , I been a Scotibank Customer since Grade 10 with everything trusted to the Institution, I was shocked to Learn that I needed to visit my home branch of the bank to obtain a new ScotiaCard as its not policy . Customer Service on the phone did not even know what policy yet were quoting. The Supervisor of the Tellers needs to be removes form service & sent to be trained on speaking to Humans . I took this issue up with the Office of the President . This Branch is not worth visiting go to the Other BRAMPTON location.!
