Was counselled by another RBC branch advisor, to avoid doing any transactions at the Rockland branch. Apparently, this branch has a reputation in the region for being just a little bit useless. Wish I would have known this earlier last week. last Saturday, paid out a line of credit cash, to close a savings and the line of credit. branch staff unable to close the savings account, because the last interest payment needs to go through the savings. Offered to pay cash the 30 dollar interest that would be charged at the end of the month. Branch unable to process the last interest payment. Stuck holding a savings account and a line of credit I don't want. Asked to reduce the limit on my line of credit to one dollar. Branch unable to comply. I remember when RBC was the standard in banking. Things have really changed. Staff caters more to a system that makes you wait and forget, then they are willing to cater to the consumer. It's called a payout. It's cash, it's basic and simple. What is wrong with this picture?

TRANSFER OUT This branch is unable to carry out basic banking transactions. they are unfamiliar, with their own, week old cheques. incapable of verifying cheques coming directly from the offices of RBC financial advisors. They will offer a line of credit increase to someone presenting what they deem is an uncashable cheque leaving, us completely vulnerable. They disclose personal information, to non account holders, when you try and cash a cheque from another branch. 30 mins at the counter... end result a legitimste transaction refused, 3 people looked at the transaction, 3 wrong answers. I documented the situation below. keep in mind, 2 cheques from the same cheque book, were cashed and processed by other parties at other banks. thursday dec 13 7 30 pm. Went to deposit a cheque (with hold, till processed and verified is fine) from another rbc account, and the rep went to the supervisor snd then manager, to tell me that the person who issued the cheque didnt issue it from a chequing account but from a line of credit. ok, why are you sharing that information with me? im not joint on the account, im just trying to deposit a cheque that was given to me. PRIVACY COMMISSIONER? OMBUDSMAN? The cheque was issued from an rbc, west of ottawa, from an advisor less than a week ago, specifically for me. The reason Rockland RBC told me they wouldnt deposit the cheque is because they dont make cheques like this anymore. . Wrong! Friday dec 14. update, the financial adviser from the chq issuing branch has been made aware of the problem. He is outraged that, they didnt take the check he iissued specifically for the account. The signee checked in with his own branch and found... no notes on file about the interrupted pmnt. WHY? Rockland refused the check, but didnt note the system as to why. They did not void the cheque if it wss invalid, even though it was to be drawn from an RBC account. If they suspected fraud, why did they offer me a line of credit increase? How come the same cheque from same booklet, were deposited and processed at other institutions......? pure incompetence at rockland rbc. Cashing a cheque is basic basic. put a hold, dont pretend the check is old when its brand new. P.S. we had to communicate with the west end advisor by email, while he was on vacation..... thats how bad the situation is at ROCKLAND RBC. recommend TRANSFER OUT!

Very slow service... never enough employees at the teller. I shouldn't have to wait 30min when only two people in line. Very disappointed in this branch 🤔 If you have to bank with RBC don't due it in Rockland go to Orleans or closed to downtown. The customer service is good if or when ever you can get to speak with them.
