Nice Scotiabank. Would be helpful with better hours but that's like most banks

First time I used ScotiaBank, I dealt with one agent that was AMAZING. She handled all my needs, followed up, K-A made sure everything was seamless. The second time? I had a 5 month closing and they either forgot or just didn't bother getting signatures on documents. I had to ask the week before the possession of the home why the lawyer was asking me for details. I had to follow up several times a day to get an answer, and then try to reach out to several other people as the 'agent' I was dealing with wasn't even replying. She cited several times that 'I had my kids' and 'I have to get my kids to school' when I tried to meet and as reasons for delays in not answering my emails/calls/texts. I have been a single mother for nearly 20 years - having kids to drop off doesn't mean you have license to disregard your position or someone elses mortgage. When someone points out on MONDAY that you have missed a step - you make that a PRIORITY - you don't essentially drop the ball every day for the rest of the week. This is my LIFE, my HOME ownership, a mortgage where this company will profit from my for the next 25 years - a few minutes of effort and follow through and attention is most CERTAINLY warranted and expected. We are all human, I don't so much mind the initial 'lapse' in dropping attention on my personal financials - but the lack of action to correct it is completely unacceptable. This woman represents ScotiaBank - its ridiculous that she not be held accountable for her disregard of clients.

Tried to contact "financial advisor" she was out of town,, tried the recommended "financial advisors" he did not even bother to respond. Eventually made an appointment with A financial advisor left the meeting under the impression our financial wishes were being looked after. 5 Business days later said "financial advisor" called me to ask basically what we had discussed. Long story short, business has still NOT been concluded.. Worst business practices ever,,if I carried on my business like this ,, I wouldn't have one. Sorley disappointed, extremely upset, will never use these people again.

Worst bank and branch ever! Was in a car accident and was getting my settlement. Spent multiple days dealing with the bank to set up accounts for my funds to be put directly into. Computer issues 2 appts in a row!! Then my funds went into the wrong account. Dont bother trying to reach the branch. Youll only be redirected to the call center. Then when youre finally put through to a voice mail.. and leave a vm.. you dont get any returned calls!! Pulled all my money out. Good riddance!!
