I opened an account online to save time. I had to visit the branch for ID verification, which wasted 1 hour of my time. Not in the line, it was just that the assistant person was almost clueless. I thought she might be new and that is OK. But the next day I had to go to the branch again because I could not log in to my account online. Another assistant, again clueless. She did issue a new card for me, but she was not helpful. She was pretending to be helpful but no outcome. I was going to ask them just close and remove my account. My worst experience in visiting a bank branch. I am not sure if this is how Scotia is, or if it is just this branch.

Very sketchy way to communicate with clients. I randomly received a phone call from a number that ID’d as Scotiabank in Guelph. I looked up the number and it didn’t match any of the branches in Guelph. I assume if it was the actual bank they would leave a voicemail however they did not so I assumed it was fraud. I then received an email with horrible grammar and spelling from a Pretty Thomas. I called this banks phone number as posted not the one that called me and I entered the extension number. Turns out this Pretty Thomas is real. Horrible way to reach clients. Learn to be more professional. It is easy to be scammed and this came off like it was a scam.

I am trying to complete a simple task but this branch apparently has no idea how to do that. I had an appointment 4 weeks ago the advisor was to follow up, nothing. I have sent him 4 follow up emails with no response. Another meeting today with another advisor who doesn't bother to call at the scheduled time. terrible customer service, I would suggest avoiding this location.

Spent over an hour working on a restructure of my accounts. Signed all the paperwork and after 2 weeks, nothing happened. Turns out they didnt submit my paperwork and had to go through the entire process again after hours on the phone. Also, advisors do not respond to email, so if you want anything you need to make an appointment and wait days. Would recommend finding another branch.

Raw incompetence. I was sent to this branch to pick up my new cards. Their operating hours are absurd and impossible for anyone who works. I managed to find 2 minutes to get in as a full time dad. The teller had no idea what she was doing. Her manager managed to find a band aid solution, but here's the kicker: they disconnected my debit card from my account. I can't log in. I can't pay bills. And I have absolutely no chance for the foreseeable future to get to the location and fix this problem. I don't know what I can do, they've crushed me with hopelessness.
