RBC Royal Bank

After having an account with RBC for 14 years, numerous accounts including credit cards, line and credit and a mortgage: I accidentally forgot to put a check in the envelope and deposited it in ATM. It was an honest mistake, after 14 years, this was the first time I have done that. RBC locked all my accounts and locked me out from access of viewing my accounts online. They didn't notify me that my accounts have been locked, I had only found out when my cards were declined at a local store. I went into the Hanmer RBC branch to rectify the issue and to my surprise I was treated very poorly. Nay, I was treated like a criminal. Not only did the teller who I spoke to offered me little to no help, she belittled me. When I asked if the issue could be resolved, I needed acce ss to my accounts in order to pay bills and daily expenses (this being a Thursday) she called over a manager. The manager also gave me a run a round like the teller did, belittled me and treated me like dirt, not to mention clearly avoided me when called upon by the teller, making me over 30 minutes. When he could no longer avoid me (I wasn't leaving til things were rectified) he then informed me that nothing could be done until the check (that I forgot to put in the envelope) was processed, the check being returned within following week. As you can imagine, I was stunned. For a 80$ check (with the billions they make off us blue collared folks) I was completely locked out of my accounts for over a week, missed payments/ missed bill payments.I strongly suggest you take your business else where, with the numerous finicial institutes available; I would find it hard to believe you wouldn't find better service at a different institution. I will be moving all my financials including my mortgage away from this institution and I would recommend that you take your business else where as well. If I could rate this institution less then 0, I would.
