I love this bank!

Full service location with friendly staff. Parking is not usually an issue, and it has many useful stores nearby.

I have been with Royal Bank since I was 8 years old. When I moved to Hamilton this branch became the most local to my place. NEVER in my life have I had so many problems with a bank and only with this branch. Below is a long story of the BS I have endured with this bank. The issues started when I picked up a direct deposit form to set up an account with Fabutan. When it was time for the first payment to come out it bounced. Low and behold they gave me a direct deposit form with the wrong account number and transit on it. Causing me to have to pay an NSF fee. Than a few months later I again got another direct deposit form for my rent. When it comes time for the money to be taken , nothing comes out of the account. I than withdrawal the money to give to my landlord and speak to the bank, where they assure me " nothings wrong and it must be my landlords bank". Two months go by and my landlord says they are getting the payments, until month three when it bounces. Again I go to the bank they say its my landlords bank. My landlord goes to her bank and they tell her its my bank. We go back to my bank together and as it turns out they gave the wrong direct deposit form AGAIN and even worse my rent was coming out of someone else account, this all after they told me TWICE there was nothing wrong. Lastly I get a new job and for the last month and a half have been cashing my cheques at other Royal Banks ( because of the previous issues). One day I do not have enough time to go to the other further bank and am forced to use this one. As I try to cash my cheques, the teller informs me she can only give $250 out of the $700 I am owed because on my account it says thats my limit. None of the other branches have ever given me trouble and have cashed cheques as big as $1,400. At first the teller denies seeing this activity on my account and than magically it appears and agrees to give me the full amount but " I need to come in for an appointment to change my limit". The next week I use the Royal Bank in Toronto by my work, I ask them about this so called limit and NO WHERE on my file does it say this... So needless to say this bank is horrible! During all three incidents that were THIER screw ups they were rude an very unapologetic. I should not have to drive out of my way to get proper service and they should really show some better customer service to a client who has been with them for almost 20 years! If it weren't for the other great branches in Toronto, Burlington and Stoney Creek. I would close my account and go else where.

Friendly staff, modernized interior, and later hours on Thursday. Would love to see extended hours on more weekdays.
