Star Rating -1000 Had the worst bank experience ever! I went for activating a new card from mail, and was told it's already active and asked to enter the password. So I enter the password to set it up for the new card, but was told the password is incorrect. Then I asked how can a new password set up be wrong from nothing. But all she said was the screen was showing wrong, and did not know what to do. After I emphasized a few more times to her what I needed was to set up the password for a brand new card, not to reset it, she finally understood. By then it's already 20 mins passed. Then she find a form from somewhere and asked me to sign, which wrote to reset password. I was so puzzled, but she couldn't explain the form. I have to ask for their manager. Meanwhile she suddenly stamped on a waste paper and put my card right on the stamp. Then I turned my card over and found the new card was dirty by the ink. I asked why she did that, but she said she didn't know. I had to asked and waited more time for a new card to mail to me again. After the 1st request was done, she literally forgot what was my rest request. And I told her 3 times I needed a direct deposit form, because she forgot again after a few minutes. She asked me if I want the money in or out of the account, and I replied both. But she issued me 2 exactly same forms, and asked if I wanted them stamped. I questioned shouldn't the form be stamp on issue, then she stamped it upside down. I had to told her the stamp was reversed until she realized it, but totally ruin the 2nd stamp with a messy blank ink square. I finally figured she knew nothing about how to activate a new card, but it's already half hour passed, the next counter already finished services for 5 other guests. I realize it was a mistake to be serviced by her, and wished I was at any other counter. But everything was too late, I was already late for my next destination because her absurdly inefficient service, typing the card number took her 3 attempts on 1 minute each, then reading took 5 mins.

Took 45 minutes to serve me when there are only 20 people ahead of me.. They are under renovation. If you are not able to serve customers fast, why bother staying during renovation? Wasted my time!

RBC tried to call the branch. They couldn't get through. They gave me the telephone number to contact the branch directly. I can't get through either. I wonder why.
