Can't quickly call and talk to a branch directly. First spend a few minutes on the automated phone menu to then be connected to a branch support group (not the branch), wait time 7 more minutes, to finally ask to be connected to the branch. This is good customer service? I could drive to the branch in less time.

Automated phone system does not work, unable to connect with a human. They are slow to respond to phone calls and do not reply to emails I am looking for a new bank

Scotiabank in general has become a completely different bank than they used to be. If you are looking for a bank that provides great customer service, and is customer-centric, do not deal with Scotiabank. You pretty much have to demand to have any kind of customer service experience, which seems to come much more naturally to other banks. This branch in particular seems very unprofessional and, although the tellers (most of them) are usually very nice, don't expect anything special in terms of customer service. And woe is you if you have to try to contact them by phone. I personally am moving my business over to the beautiful Royal Bank in Uxbridge. They are amazing. CIBC in Uxbridge is also very exceptional in terms of customer service. Scotiabank is about 5 notches down from either of these branches. Do yourself a favour and deal with Royal Bank or CIBC.
