I had a loan with these guys and I was looking to pay off remainder, after some shady accounting when they withdrew more than agreed upon repeatedly. Also did not try to contact me after my Account was shut down due to fraud and account numbers changed. Instead of contacting me for payment they just let it sit for 6 months. Called in to pay off full amount, cannot payoff with different bank, debit, credit, transfer. After 45 minute hold Monday business day during business hours. Was told I could walk into any branch and pay with any debit card. Walked into a branch and after an extremely rude attendant informed me I have to drive to Gatineau because there systems are more upto date. Called back into the bank and was told I could email request in and the full amount could be taken from my account that is set up for auto withdrawals. Emailed the request in and asked for receipt of email and confirmation once payment goes through. 1 week later nothing, no payment taken, called back in again was told to send another email request in to different person and that they would make sure to take care of it. Emailed in. Nothing.. Really? Went into different branch, another extremely rude attendant welcomed me with a robot like greeting and repeatedly asked the same questions, and spelled my name wrong multiple times so couldn't open my account. I ended up walking out, I am seriously contemplating stopping paying all together waiting for a collection call and just paying the collection people... Countless hours wasted speaking to completely incompetent, distespectful, and just generally miserable people has got me no where. It's 2017 electronic transfers should not be a technology that a bank has not yet implemented. Working with other financial institutions should not take 10-15 business days. I'm trying to settle my loan with them for over a month now and none of the employees can competently do the requested task of replying to my emails, this is after they tell me all correspondence needs to be in email so they have a paper record. But when you call into the branch it clearly says in a voice recording this call will be monitored for quality control and training purposes. I guess the tape recorders at this bank from 1979 are broken. Moral: terrible bank. terrible employees. I would never recommend them. I will never bank with them. Or get any type of load with them. If your desperate and looking for a bank that likes to screw people then go for it.
