one of the worst manager at the waterloo University/King. I am employee of the RBC and had to get my connection to fix by going to branch. Manager and advisory had attuited which they threaten me by not coming back to branch..they through my laptop which was asset of Rbc everywhere. RBC need to reconsider by hiring manager in that branch

I went to RBC uptown Waterloo and had a meeting with Susan Gilke, a financial advisor with the branch, to discuss a professional student line of credit. I had an existing offer from Scotia bank and wanted to see what RBC could offer, as their advertised interest rate was lower than Scotia’s. Susan told me that since I was not an existing client, that there was really nothing they could do (which is untrue). She said that because I was not an existing client, she could not see whether I was a credit risk ( again, untrue because my excellent credit score would show that I am not). Without asking me about my existing debt or assets, looking at my credit score, asking about my employment, looking at my offer from scotia bank, or looking at my the offer I received from a professional program, Susan made a judgement about me that said I did not fit the criteria of someone they could lend money to. I left having gained nothing and learned nothing other than not to bank with RBC. This is not the first negative experience I have had with RBC, and I don’t recommend this branch or any other RBC branch to anyone.

Rbc uptown Waterloo is brutal. Cross .the street and walk half a block to the Scotia and there excellent service.

Absolutely terrible at their jobs and customer service. Instead of helping me the only customer waiting they decided to keep working on whatever they were doing. Proceeded to call someone else out to help, the person working on the computer.... Not the customer!! What the hell, get the old staff back.

Its not my home branch and i needed the manager to help me out and release more than my allowed amount. My home branch always helps me out and does it when i need it. I have been depositing cheques from the same company for a long while. This branch could clearly see my cheques are not held. The Manager at this branch would not do a thing for me. Customer service is the pits. Will not go back and will not recommend this branch to anyone. I have had to go to another branch before and they graciously helped me.
