If you want to learn boxing and get fit this is the place! Great staff and great members. Equipment is new and well maintained. I started boxing there about 6 years ago and I love it more each year. Started doing the classes and the personal training sessions with their boxing experts are a sure way to sharpen up any skills you feel might need improvement. All around great boxing gym!

I've been a member for over a year and am now in the best shape of my life. The classes are fun, engaging, and always different (perfect if you get bored easily like I do!) Every coach is so friendly and helpful, yes even Kevin when he's chirping you on the mic (don't worry he only does it to me, it seems). Overall, best workout with the best group. Highly recommend joining!

I have been a member for over a decade; Contenders is like a second home for me. For those that are curious about learning boxing techniques or looking for an alternative exercise to improve your conditioning, this is the place to learn. The trainers and instructors are very helpful, as well it is an amicable atmosphere amongst the members. You are never alone when you train at Contenders! It's more entertaining than your average gym/studio.

An awesome experience. The coaches are really good at training all skills levels. Great gym if you just want to get in shape - or if you want to start sparring. The staff love boxing and it shows in their training styles. The monthly membership is an excellent value if you go a couple times a week. A few times a year they will have a party at the gym with an open bar, food and you can watch PPV fights on their big screen TV. When I started just over a year ago, I weighed 220 lbs. and had back and knee problems. Now I’m 195 lbs. and have never felt better in my life. Join this gym! You’ll have fun and get fit!

Contenders is a great atmosphere for anyone looking to learn the science of boxing, increase activity or train to the point of registered fights. Each instructor offers a different style of boxing so the classes never feel stale or repetitive, as well as you can seek out personal training sessions with any one of the trainers. I personally enjoy the 6 am morning classes where Yo will teach long-combos each Friday, the 4:30 pm classes on Tuesday & Thursday where Sebastian will teach you beginning sparring, and the Monday & Wednesday 6:30 pm classes where Kevin will help you improve foot work & punch combination technique. Richard, Max, Nikko and Dimitri are cool too, I guess.
