My son desperately wants to do martial arts. I've taken him to a few places to do trials and figure out what place is right for him. I thought this would be a good fit as its a smaller place with smaller class sizes and local. Unfortunately it wasn't at all what i expected. On the night we went there was only one registered kid there and 4 other kids also on trial. So five kids in total. The instructor said he wasn't feeling well, so he had some high school kid and his daughter? "helping". The high school kid had zero personality and in my opinion was lacked patience with the kids. I think he forgot that 4 of these kids are new to the sport. The class was completely disorganized, there was no flow, and i got the impression they really didn't know what to do with these kids. Maybe it was an off night for them... I dunno. Maybe they primarily do older kids and wanted to explore doing classes for younger kids... again i don't know. But what i do know is that i won't be going back. The people who work there were nice enough, but it just didn't give me a good vibe. Side note, as of today there are 3 google review that were posted prior to mine. I think its important to know that the two 5 star reviews were posted by the people that work there.

My favourite part about hydra martial arts is that they work individually with each student.

If I could put 0 I would, terrible phone services. On the first trial they actually manage to get my son hurt. Nothing good at all to say about it. Stay away.
