As a former athlete, I found myself missing the competitive and team-oriented environment that used to motivate me. After a few years of debating if I should try CrossFit, I stumbled upon Actus and decided to give them a shot. I booked a free consultation session with Tomas and it didn't take long for me to become hooked and find exactly what I was looking for. At this point, my only regret is not starting sooner. Actus is truly unique in that the incredible coaches and remarkable community leave you feeling inspired and motivated to continue working towards your fitness goals. Each class offers something new. The small (yet competitive) class sizes allow you to receive the coaching you need to continually learn and improve on your fitness journey regardless of skill level. Jonathan, the owner, is also incredibly approachable and always available to discuss your goals and provide advice. The facility and equipment itself is very well maintained and always clean. Finally, what really sets this place apart has to be the incredible coaches. A huge shout out to Aaron, Alex, Tomas and Dom! These coaches continue staying patient while I learn yet they make sure to keep me motivated and push me to learn new functional and skilled movements day in and day out. If you are looking for a change from your same old gym routine, or if you are ready for a new fitness challenge, I would urge you to give Actus a chance. P.S. Actus is also home to the cutest gym puppy, too!

My husband and I did the mechanics program at CrossFit Actus and it was amazing! Both challenging and fun, we learned the basics of CrossFit exercises. Our coach, Thomas, was very informative, professional and caring. We will definitely be continuing our CrossFit journey.

CrossFit Actus has been my home for 3 years, and I really do mean home. I moved to Ottawa 4 years ago and it’s this community that made me feel like home. Amazing members and amazing coaches. I was a bit scared when I walked in day 1 with the little to no knowledge in had in lifting. That fear did not last long. With the classes capped at 10 and a team of dedicated coaches I was able to learn and grow in a very supportive atmosphere. To this day, I still learn something new every time I attend a class because the coaches know their members and continue to guide us in perfecting our form and attaining our goals. If you’re in Ottawa, please come check out this amazing community!

CrossFit Actus is a community-focused gym offering very clean facilities, personal training and CrossFit group classes capped at 10. Members are range in age and skill level, offering scaled workouts for those new to CrossFit or with injuries. Owner Jonathan is very approachable, and will help anyone new to CrossFit or experienced join the community. Coaches Tomas, Aaron and Alex are familiar faces there to answer any questions. If you are visiting Ottawa or looking to join CrossFit for the first time or switch boxes, check out Actus!

Had a great introduction to CrossFit Actus! Very clean and specious facility with friendly staff! Jonathan took an hour of his time to show me how to properly climb a rope. For that, I am grateful and would highly recommend CrossFit Actus to anyone!
