I trained here for two years and it really is an awesome place. The community is welcoming and full of great people. Ego doesn't seem to play a role when it comes to sparring. Those with more experience are eager to share their knowledge. Professor Mike and the other instructors are talented, accommodating, and easy-going. They cater to a wide variety of skill levels, and make sure that everyone gets a solid workout (and some laughs) in at every class. I always felt as though I was able to learn something. On a number of occasions, Mike allowed me to pause my membership if I was on a break from school. For anyone who is thinking of trying a martial art, or who is looking for a new school to train at, I would highly recommend Arashi-Do North.

Was looking for a place to start training BJJ after my last gym has closed. After checking out Arashi-Do I was really impressed by the atmosphere and just how overwhelming welcoming everyone is. Professor Mike is great at really breaking everything down so that it is both easy to learn and very safe.

Terrific place with talented and friendly instructors. Muay Thai classes cater to beginners as well as more advanced students. Very welcoming and non-intimidating environment. It is clear that the staff are not just in it for the money; they offer a whole month of muay thai classes for free, and are very flexible for the membership plans. I was able to take a month off and withhold the payment for summer break, no questions asked. I highly recommend this gym, they are rated #1 for a reason!

I just want to say that the ENTIRE CREW at Arashi-do on St Albert trail are truly amazing people!! The way the professors and staff train these children and young adults is second to none as far as I'm concerned!! My son goes to this place and I'm very glad that this is where he ended up, aside from learning self defense, he is also learning discipline, respect and well I could go on and on but ill stop here! Big shout out to Mike and everyone there, thanks a bunch guys!!! keep up the good work!!!

Sà-wàd-dee kráb! Please read till the end if you're considering going here :) I've been a part of many Dojos throughout my martial arts career, and I have found few that equal the level of expertise, professionalism, kindness, and respect that this Dojo offers it's members. From top to bottom, every individual is there for the right reasons: to learn a martial art (not just how to punch somebody; martial arts is a lifestyle), get some great exercise, and have fun with friends. Professor Mike and the other instructors are knowledgable and friendly, more than welcome to accommodate weird schedules and physical injuries. Few dojos can get as large as Arashi-Do has and still maintain it's quality, especially in so many different martial arts. They even go back to the origin countries to sharpen up their skills, which the opportunity is open to all their committed members. I should know, I went to Thailand for two weeks and loved it. If you go here, I assure you will leave tired and with a smile on your face. I know when I'm back in Edmonton, I'll be popping in to say hi and catch a good workout.
