Short version: The worst windows installer around. I would give 0 starts if it was possible. In case of the problems, the company doesn't take the responsibility, instead is looking for excuses and keeps blaming everyone, but themselves. The communication is very bad, it's almost impossible to get a straightforward answer from George Kent. They only can tell that they are in the business for many many years and that they give you lifetime warranty. Longer version: I placed an order for windows on March 19 and at the end of October I found out that they haven't even given my order to the manufacturer. I called and emailed them many times and all the times their strategy was to not give any information except that the situation in the industry is complex and that government should extend the program and I should not worry. Many of my neighbors, who placed orders with other installing companies (yes, orders eligible for that government program) much later than I, got the windows sooner. One of the neighbors placed an order on Jun 16 and got windows in October. Strangely enough, all the installers around work with the same manufacturer (so you get the same windows at the end of the day) - Vinylbilt Windows - and their delays this year were plus 2-3 weeks to their normal waiting. And only George Kent is complete mess. They could not do the job in 7.5 months. The main problem is not only that the situation which Window industry had this year. George Kent simply cannot be honest to the customers. I'm sure they saw that they have an issue and they could call me in May/June/July/Aug/Sep (or may be even in March) and honestly tell me that there is a chance they won't be able to do the job till 2019/2020 (or whatever the date is). They preferred to keep me blind till the end of October and enjoyed my deposit in the meantime. Update: George Kent stepped up and my complaint was satisfactorily settled on a gentleman's agreement.

I am really satisfied with team. I came in contact with George and Kent through RONA. They did Windows installation for me. Initial installation done by Harvey. Great work done by him very considerate, listened to my concerns and gave good suggestions. The installation was done by Jesus and team, very professional. Came and did a quick and smooth installation. Let me know of the functioning and cleaning of the windows. Answered my questions. All through this time through emails and phones, Maria was in contact with me who was very helpful and considerate. She will answer to every message you sent her. This team took care of me through a difficult time of having GreenON rebate being stopped. They completed the task and the paperwork before the end date. Thanks George and Kent. Waqar

I signed a contract on March 31st for windows under the assurance that fulfillment would be between 6-8 weeks. While we had our windows measured, we have received no other helpful information. Despite proactively calling, your company has been unable to answer any questions, only that you are "behind" blaming the manufacturer, but not giving me the information to follow up with the manufacture (who by the way said they were fulfilling orders well beyond my contract date). I'm extremely disappointed with the false promise of on-time fulfillment when we were signing the contract given that your office said you were already months behind in fulfill and only now installing orders made in February. I would have expected you to be more forthcoming. It looks like I'm not the only one who was duped. There are others on reviews with similar stories. You can't just blame the manufacturers or the government. If you were already behind in March, you cannot promise on-time delivery. You could've handled this much better. You cost me my time and lost opportunity which a refund does not resolve. I can only hope that you will at least stick to your work on a full refund.

Our overall experience with George Kent has been quite positive. Starting with our sales rep Keven taking the time to guide us through our window purchase. We ran into similar issues as others with the GreenON program due to the Ford government’s sudden cancellation of the program and unreasonable deadlines. Through it all, the issues and aggravation created by the Ford government, George Kent Home Improvements did everything possible to respond to our concerns, emails and phone calls. They kept us informed and did everything possible to see our project to completion. We had our windows replaced by Lonnie, Shawn and Matt. Lonnie and his team were extremely professional and personable. They did great work and cleaned up after themselves as the work progressed. Even under some really adverse weather conditions, they maintained a calm and positive attitude towards the work and us as clients. The installation of the windows looks great from both the inside and outside. Lonnie, Shawn and Matt all worked well and did a great job. We would highly recomend our sales rep Keven. We would also highly recommend Lonnie, Shawn and Matt as a great installation team. Every interaction with George Kent has been positive from sales, installation, Maria in the office, all the way up the organization to Wayne Palmer. A great all round team.

We had three windows done under the government program. The sales representative Derek Bess was recommended by a neighbour. He came and took the order. Very professional and not pushy at all. The installer came about a week later to take the measurements. (Due to the popularity of the program we did have to wait until September for delivery but they had told us that up front) Couldn't be happier with the actual installation. The two guys took a lot of care to keep the place clean. Very happy with the quality of both the windows and the installation.
