ReNue: Dr. Jason McWhirter

I'm a busy stay at home mom and for a treat my hubby bought me a gift certificate to have a "spa" day. Let me tell you- it was much needed and the girls at ReNue did not disappoint! I had been to many spas when I was younger, but the aesthetician, Tracey, was AMAZING! First of all she was super professional. Her work area was tidy, everything was obviously sterilized and clean. She was gentle during my pedicure, but somehow got my monster feet baby's butt smooth! She also did a shellac manicure (turned out perfectly) and I also got a facial. I've had many facials in my day, but this one took the cake. I actually had to let out a moan (just about died in embarassament...) Thank you Tracey for making my day away from the kids wonderful! You were great to talk to and your services did not disappoint. I will definately be back!

I have been going to ReNue for a couple of years now, the customer service and the staff are excellent. I hate needles and Shaina is wonderful and always puts me at ease. I am always asking questions and the girls are so helpful and don't get annoyed with me lol. Keep up the good work. see you soon :)

I would not recommend anyone to Renue Airdrie or Calgary. I had gone to ReNue in Airdrie to have lip injections for the first time in June, I went with a half syringe initially and returned August 20th for another half syringe. Two weeks after my procedure I called the nurse and made a follow up appointment because I had concern my lip was infected since the swelling continued to worsen. The nurse assured me the yellow swollen pus like lump in my lip was just filler and definitely not an infection. She had her receptionist come in for a second opinion … cause that was reassuring. She proceeded to massage my lump to smooth it out … SO painful. 3 days later after this follow up appointment I call and explain to the nurse that my lump is starting to surface and have blood, it busted open that evening. The Nurses response was, oh I guess you must have had a bit of an infection. The next day I had to drive up to ReNue Calgary to see Dr. McWhirter for another follow up. I was hoping he would make me comfortable and let me know what the next steps are with my lip however, that was not the case. Three minutes in his office and he sends me out the door saying it will just heal and to book another follow up with him next week, to see how it looks cosmetically. The next day I had went to the Walk-in clinic; I knew my lip needed some attention. I was started on an antibiotic that seemed to help a bit. I show up the next week (September 16,2014) to my appointment and complain about the swelling and pain I am still experiencing in the area, he told me there is nothing he can do for the pain and he doesn’t need to see me again for this issue unless its still uncomfortable in three weeks then come back in. oh and in his opinion it was cosmetically fine and offered no touch ups, my top lip was so swollen and disproportioned but according to him it wasn’t. Monday August 22nd I went to my doctor who also has experience with lip injections, and he told me to come back at 4pm and he will dissolve the filler, but to call ReNue and ask what filler they exactly used on me. Later that day I go back to see him, he dissolves the filler in my top lip that is causing me pain, the filler the nurse at ReNue used in my lips was a thick filler recommended to treat the face and neck area NOT the lips (Teosyal Ultimate). Dr. McWhirter and his staff are not helpful or accommodating, they offered NO help or direction after my lip had been infected; they only became interested in patients paying. I will never return to ReNue it is a waste of time, money, and you will be disappointed.

I booked a consultation with this company, at this location on a whim and I am SO happy that I did. The MOA I spoke to while booking my appointment was polite and friendly; equally so when I arrived for my appointment. Dr. Michael Massie made me feel extremely confident in his knowledge and ability to help me with my hormonal acne. More importantly, he spoke to me as an equal ( as opposed to other doctors I have seen that spoke to me as if I were idiotic or just a pay check.) I will definately be recommending this place to EVERYONE!

I drive from Calgary to see these girls. They have always made me feel welcome and comfortable. They have never made me feel like any question is silly. I will continue to go there for all of my needs!
