I went in twice. Once for grad a few years back and I had the worst service. I went in for a consult and was out in 5minutes after waiting 45because she was running late. Didn't even decide a hair choice she just looked at my hair quickly and said okay I'll see you for your appointment I'll book longer because you have really thick hair. So I had hope and went in for my grad appointment first thing in the morning. Not only did she not book extra time but by the time I got home my hair had already fallen out and I called to complain to have hey say they can't do anything. So I had my hair down at grad after paying almost $250 for an undue that didn't even last 30minutes. I kept telling her my hair is thick I need more bobby pins but she refused Saying my hair wasn't as thick as I implied and that I didn't (again same lady who said she'd book extra time for my thick hair). I went in a second time for my friends birthday last year and again I was met with a 45minute wait after the time my appointment was supposed to start so I kept asking every ten or so minutes not trying to bother anyone and they kept saying she'll only be about 5more minutes. And after waiting a solid hour later i just left. I will not be coming back. I wish my Updue stayed because it would have looked beautiful With my retro style I had going on for grad but it didn't. When I get hair done I expect the consult to actually consist of consulting the client. The reason I'm posting this late is because I've had multiple friends this past year come in and have also had horrible experiences one recently who's name I wil not disclose as to her request.

Rachel is my girl! I've always struggled with thick, long hair. She's fixed all my problems!

Had a cut and style with John. He's a good guy to spend 45 minutes with and he gave me a good haircut at a reasonable price.

I was in Victoria this weekend for a friend’s Birthday. I am originally from Vancouver, but live in Seattle. While all my friends were whale watching I went for a massage and then decided to get a haircut. The Grand Pacific suggested Aveda, and having been their many times before (in Seattle) I called for an appointment. Lucky for me they were all booked, because if I had booked an appointment with them I would not have received the best haircut of my life. The concierge of the Grand Pacific had also provided me with your salon’s number, I called and spoke with a very friendly individual named Amanda. She also happened to be the stylist working on my hair that day. She was very knowledgeable and after assessing the health of my hair suggested that we only take off a couple of inches. I wanted to keep my hair long, but with the amount of volume I normally get I usually feel great walking out right after the cut, but the days following feel weighted down by the lack of amount taken off. I am extremely low maintenance, I literally wake up, shower, put clothes on and run out the door. I never blow dry my hair, style or even apply any make up. When my hair is not cut properly it leads to extreme volume, so much that I normally have to put it up half way through the day. I feel good about hair cuts for one or two days but then just feels like I same old same old. It was totally different with Amanda, she cut and trimmed, layered and styled my hair into the perfection that it is today. I was going out that night and she even took a little extra time to pop some curls in my hair so that I looked fabulous for my evening out. The layers create perfect framing around my face and even allow for a little natural curl at the end. Honestly my hair doesn’t look as good as when she styled it, but this is seriously the best hair cut I have ever had. I hope that sometime I can get back up there for another one.
