My husband I contacted Melanie Davis to help plan are trip to Mexico to get married. The only criteria we gave her was that we wanted to be on the beach and my future husband wanted to be able to go snorkelling right off the hotel beach in to reefs. The snorkelling was the most important thing for my husband he goes on vacation once every five years and that's all he wants to do is snorkel in the reefs. We booked with Melanie and she assured us that the hotel she booked was going to have snorkelling that we had requested. When we arrived we noticed that there was a red flag stating you could not go pasted a certain point (waist deep) and that the reef is off limits. When speaking with one of the travel advisor's at the hotel they stated that red flag has been up for over 3 years and that this hotel does not allow reef snorkelling. This mistake cost us hundreds of dollars for a few short excursions that could have been avoided had she done her job correctly. when arriving home we spoke to two separate Merrit travel agents who both work with Melanie and both stated that they knew that flag had been up and that snorkelling as not allowed and that Melanie definitely should have known that. We were very disappointed in the service and would not recommended her.
