Do not book with EMR. They are super inflexible. We have a credit from Covid, and they won't allow someone listed on the original rental agreement to use the $1300 credit when the primary isn't available. They say it's for fraud protection. Book with Airbnb, a hotel, or VRBO. It's honestly not worth the hassle.

We had a great stay in this 2 level executive condo at the Reef in Victoria, B.C.. The location was perfect for walking to the waterfront amenities of Victoria harbour, the oceanfront parks, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, and local shopping. The condo was clean when we got there'd easy to maintain during our stay. The building and property was very well maintained and landscaped. We appreciated the secure underground parking. Our experience with EMR Vacation Rentals was great right from signing up the rental, payment process, the greeting and close-up, and the follow-up after we left. We would definitely want to stay there in the future and would recommend the condo to our friends. Our only forewarning would be that the spiral staircase may make it a challenge for older tenants. We look forward to future visits to Victoria and other Vancouver Island locations and all the amenities that they offer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR RENTAL! THEY LACK INTEGRITY! Yesterday the BC government commenced a 3 week circuit breaker across the province - NO TRAVEL WITHIN REGIONS. I spoke with EMR to ask to move our booking to accommodate the provincial change as was offered in the rental contract under these circumstances. Rather than working with us to accommodate the situation per the terms of our rental agreement (terms posted below) they told us that we were not able to re-book at a time when it is safe to travel. Their owner Blake with whom i spoke refused to honour our option to rebook and told us that we either come or we would have to forefeit our $1,400 payment. Holding me to ransom by encouraging me and my family to travel to the island despite the regulations to save our booking is completely unacceptable. How in good faith can a company act in this manner when 1.) their lease agreement offers the provision for changes in travel guidance; 2.) we are all working to try and flatten the curve for the benefit of everyone by not travelling as requested yesterday by the Premier and Dr Bonnie Henry is beyond me. Shame on you. I urge the company to re-consider their position and have commenced an investigation with my insurance company, Island Health and the local municipalities to try and recover the loss or to urge EMR to reconsider and allow us to move our dates. I WOULD ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO RE-CONSIDER THE INTEGRITY OF THIS COMPANY IF BOOKING. 2.4.2 In the event the Owner and the Owner's Agent are unable to provide access to the property for the Guest due to forced closure of travel directly where the property is located by official local government authorities, or by the Province of British Columbia, or the Government of Canada, the following will apply. The Owner and the Owner's Agent will do their best to move the Guest's booking to a future date in the same property, or provide payment's received from the Guest as a credit toward a future date to be used by the Guest within 12 months, or provide a refund less 25% of the total cost of accommodation (base rent plus applicable taxes and fees)

Our stay at this condo for two months in February and March 2021 was great. The condo was clean and well stocked. A couple of minor issues were quickly addressed by the property manager. The location is in a terrific part of Victoria, close to several good restaurants, shopping and great walking trails along the inner harbor.

Well maintained and appointed house in one of the finest waterfront locations on southern Vancouver Island. Very private and quiet. Access to stunning East Sooke Park nearby. The private wharf provides excellent moorage.

We were very happy with our stay at Heron View Cottage. The house was very well outfitted, lots of room, very clean and an overall beautiful home with s lovely view. We have recommended it to others already and will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. We are well-travelled and have stayed in many places...and this has been one of our favourites.
