I called to make an appointment for a shellac removal and then shellac application, and asked roughly how long it would take to do. The girl on the phone said 20 minutes, so I took it with a grain of salt and assumed it would take around 20-30 minutes. They let my nails soak for 20 minutes which was totally unnecessary, and by the time the appointment was done it had taken them 55 minutes to do my nails. Also, twice I asked the man who was doing my nails to not use a drill on them, and he continued to use it. They don't have clean tools to use on each person, there were nail clippings everywhere, and the towel bins were overflowing which makes me think that they don't clean their things properly. Ultimately, the nails looked nice and they're lasting pretty well, but I won't go back due to poor health standards.

I have been having my pedicure done here monthly, for about the last 6 months. It's a family owned and operated spa/salon. Sophie (proprietor), is a ray of sunshine, and a breath of fresh air. It is a spa/salon atmosphere, the way it SHOULD be.... relaxing, unhurried and professional. Daily specials are offered each week. I have recommended Pure Harmony to my friends, and they have also become regular clients.

I was at the salon during the summer with my sister and my experience was more so positive other than being surprised that 2 gel nail sets cost 65$ each (advertised as 45$). I decided to return this week and booked an appointment over the phone for a full gel nail set (45$). I was asked multiple times if I wanted dip or Shellac to which I replied no, and that I wanted the regular gel set. The person on the phone told me that I wasn't understanding and that she'd talk to me in person about it. I was completely understanding that she was trying to up-sell me, but I just wasn't having it. When I arrived for my appointment, I was asked by the receptionist and esthetician (whom I had spoken on the phone with) if I wanted a regular gel set or shellac. I replied that I wanted the regular and she said okay so you don't want color? I then replied that I wanted color but with a regular gel nail set. I think they asked me another 10 times if I wanted Shellac or Dip instead before I became firm with them that I wanted the regular gel set for 45$ and that I understood that up-selling was a part of their jobs but that they should respect what I am requesting. So we carried on with my nails. The esthetician installed one of my nails completely off centered, and when I mentioned it she denied it so I compared both fingers on each hand and she agreed to change it. I honestly wish I had taken a picture as it was extremely noticeable. She asked me questions during the appointment, which I totally welcome, but she was unpleasant with how she responded. I had worked overnight and had just dropped my son off to daycare and decided to get my nails done before I got some sleep. When I told her this she said but who is staying with the baby? In a super judgmental tone.. She also pointed out my eczema on my hands that I am already very self conscious about. These are just things that I don't believe to be appropriate to mention to customers. To top it off, the job they did on my nails was VERY sub-par. The coat of color is very bumpy, uneven and has brush marks. When I went to pay, she quoted me 55$, which would be 10$ of tax on a 45$ bill. I asked her why the tax was so high and she recalculated and it came up to 50$. This definitely make me suspicious about the high price tag on my first visit. I would avoid this salon at all costs.
