A tall young woman washed my hair and asked for my name. Did not extend hers. I liked my hair-wash with her but it ended with me realizing I will be rinsing my hair again sooner than later to remove the hair products still on my scalp and hair. A senior stylist named Jocene cut my hair, and cut to perfection she did. She has her own technique and quirks, to which I had no issues with because I am very pleased with how my cut turned out. Jocene was very attentive, kind, and wonderful.

Gorgeous salon, very classy with professional and courteous staff. They love their job and it shows. I’ve had a few cuts there and have never been disappointed. I’d recommend Svengali to my friends!!!

They are affiliated with a yoga studio upstairs apparently which closed out of nowhere. I paid for 10 classes and only used 3 before they closed. Nobody called me back in 3+ months. I’m fairly certain the owner Marni Schecter is running some sort of yoga studio scam. She used to own Bheda yoga.

I have been coming to the Svengali salon for over 30 years. After I moved house I tried other salons but always came back to Svengali. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed and most importantly, my hair is cut to perfection. Several times I have received compliments and people ask me for the name of the salon. I am more than happy to recommend Svengali's!!

Svengali has an amazing atmosphere! The staff is so friendly and spicy. It’s worth the drive to Markham! These are hair specialists, each person specializes in colour or cutting. The receptionist was so helpful.
