At the young age of 54, after more than a 30 year ish break, I was looking at getting back into Taekwondo. I sat in and observing the classes taught by the different dojangs in Oak Harbor, it was clear that Mr. Armstrong was going to be my best fit. Classes are formal, but not to formal and well structured. He is very passionate about teaching! Not just the skills but also the history and meaning behind the Songahm Taekwondo way, each class is well balanced with stretching, skill building, practice time, history, and some story telling. I would, and have recommend Armstrongs ATA Martial Arts to anyone interested in some good quality instruction.

This dojang has been a great experience for my entire family. My 7 year old son has been attending for 2 years, and my 4 year old daughter just started. They not only teach taekwondo; they teach discipline, self control and respect. They teach self defense and how to deal with bullying and potential abduction. My kids have gained so much confidence and skill. This dojang is a great family to join!

This is a great place! Family owned and operated and great for families or anyone! We've been a part of the ATA family for over a year now and it's been a very positive experience. Our family has been involved in the Tiger classes (ages 3-6), and the adult classes (TKD, Krav Maga and Kickboxing). I feel like they appeal to a variety of skill levels and personalities. I greatly appreciate that they reinforce values such as courtesy, self control and respect. It's a great spot for people looking to either get in shape, learn the art of TKD, learn practical, effective self defense, or add a postive activity for their kids!
