Earlier this week one of the springs on my garage door broke. I called the company that installed the garage door when my home was constructed and was told by a representative that she didn't know when they could get a service person to my home to correct the problem. I told her my vehicle was "trapped" in the garage but that didn't make a difference. I called Grand Traverse Garage Door and the manager made a special trip to my home to put a clamp on the spring so the door is operational until replacement springs can be installed. The manager arrived within 90 minutes of my call. I live about 25 miles from Grand Traverse Garage Door's location. This type of service for someone not a customer is awesome. I am now a customer for life and I have told and will continue to tell people of the excellent service I received. The new springs will be installed next Monday and the amount charged for the initial service call and the installation of the new springs is very reasonable. Greg Guggemos Kewadin, Michigan

After working with another vendor and not getting the problem resolved I call Grand Traverse Garage Door. Totally opposite experience. Sent a technician out to look at the problem and come up with a couple of solutions. Got a phone call back the next day to schedule the repair. They did the repair but it still wasn't 100% solved. Called and they sent their senior technician out in 1 hour. He was there about 45 minutes and had it running perfectly! Extremely pleased and would highly recommend this business.

When my door opener did not close my garage door, I called. The lady asked questions and instructed me to try several things. When those did not budge the door, she said she would try to get a technician to my home that day. He arrived in less than 2 hours. The circuit board on my 12 year old Genie unit was wearing out. He had a new unit on his truck and was able to install it immediately. From initial call to completed job was less than four hours. We were very pleased with our experience with this company.
