Fraudulent billing practices - I was assigned Promus by my insurance company to repair my basement after a flood. I had some additional work done which was all negotiated ahead of time. Ed Cope the owner first attempted to hide payments received by Aviva and charge me for the work totaling $3,832.08. After working with my insurance company to find out the date and amount paid to Promus Ed Cope reluctantly reduced the bill for those payments, but also created new charges for labour regarding the cabinets installed totaling 32 hours of labour at $43/hr. After contacting the cabinet manufacturer to get an estimated time to install the cabinets I got a response of 3-6 hours. He also attempted to charge me for a door that he did not do the work for for another $584. Finally he attempted within his billing to double up the overhead and profit charges, hiding them in the individual billing line items and then charging the entire total with a second round of overhead and profit. In total Ed has attempted to omit, overcharge, or create additional billings totaling $6,208. Be very careful when dealing with this company, it is not trustworty.

In view of the circumstances, this company was most understanding and compassionate. When the job was done it was very efficient. Attention to details was considered.

" I called my insurance company because I had water dripping from my ceiling. PROMUS Windsor’s Emergency team was at my house within the hour. Turns out it was a leaking pipe. The crew removed all the wet drywall and carpet and before I knew it everything was back to normal. The service was exceptional! I couldn't have asked for better people to deal with. Thank you! "

We had a flood that pretty much ruined everything in our basement. Arry was at our door the next morning and I have to say, he has a way of calming a person facing a disaster. We enjoyed all of the workers who came to assist with the restoration. They were always friendly, informative, trustworthy and did an extraordinary job. Many thanks to Al, Justin, Johnny, Mike, Deb, Dan and Dale. Awesome job. We love our new basement.

Working with Promus through Cope construction was an ideal relationship in a less than ideal situation. The clean up process after the flood in our basement was quick and handled with professionalism. The restoration process took a little longer than we were hoping but the finished product of our basement was worth it. From the laborers to the specialized subcontractors, everyone that entered our home showed respect and shared the same goal: to return our lives back to normalcy.
