High priced incompetence. Tyler Keddie was hired to see me thru the sale of my company, he neglected to check the companies commercial lease for a personal guarantee (that his firm had drafted btw) resulting in myself being sued after the business partner I sold to went bankrupt and abandoned the lease. When you hire a “professional” to complete a simple share sale you would expect that checking a commercial lease for a personal guarantee would be common sense…considering a lease guarantee is arguably one of the most common guarantees any business owner would sign would be a lease. Tried talking to Tyler about taking on the lawsuit since he bubbled the sale, I suggested if he would be willing to work for damages once I counter sued and collected legal fees and he flipped out like an overgrown manchild, started threatening me. Then he still has the audacity to send me another invoice…save yourself a headache and steer clear of Tyler Keddie and his incompetence and general lack of common sense.

Horrible take your money and do nothing! This review is for money we paid for my wife Anne Smith at the time! Paid the retainer and 18 months later nothing has happened. Still haven’t heard from anyone. Sent multiple emails with no response. Waiting for a full refund.

I've enjoyed working with Stringam on the corporate and real estate side of business for over 14 years. Great service in many way and great people. Thank you for partnering with me over the years. Aaron Bellmore

After retaining Nicole, a junior lawyer, for over 11 months, and feeling frustrated with the non-movement in my separation case, I requested a senior partner, Veronica Donald, review the file with Nicole. Veronica replied that she would, and would get back to me afterwards. I then received an email notice that Nicole was withdrawing from my case. The reason given did not make sense as Nicole had never mentioned any concerns with me directly, nor had given me any warning prior to withdrawing. Nor did I ever hear anything back from Veronica. I felt very blindsided as I had spent $16k with Nicole and I did not even have a separation agreement. Then after officially withdrawing herself, Nicole made further communications with my ex's lawyer and billed me for this time, even though she was no longer my counsel, nor had I asked her to do this. The office erred in preparing my file for pickup - I was only given my own submitted documents when I went to pick up my file, none of the work Nicole had done was given to me. Only after I emailed asking for the remainder of my file was I sent a one drive link. I asked if that was everything, and I was assured it was. Then, 8 months later, I get emailed from the office that I was supposed to pick up my file from the office? The problem is that I have since moved to another province - so if the office failed to give me my complete file (which they did twice apparently), then it would need to be couriered to me at the expense of Stringam, as surely I could not be expected to drive 12 hours to go pick up papers that were supposed to be given to me 8 months ago... it has now been over a month and I have not heard back anything in response. Considering that they still hold almost $700k of our funds in trust, you would think they would be more considerate of the clientele.

Absolute horrific service levels, retained them on a litigation matter in 2020 - been passed around between 4 (!!) lawyers in the firm and it took three and a half years to resolve the issues - while in reality it should not have been over a year. Been provided wrong, incomplete and inaccurate information along the way - total legal costs over $25,000 with the lawyers charging extra fees because they are "not familiar with process" or "need to catch up on the file as it's being taken over from a colleague" then somehow new legal bills popping up months after the matter was done with. On another litigation matter took the firm a total of 40 to run conflict searches and had two discussion with a lawyer on before being advised that they cannot take it on due to conflicts. Corp yearends have not been done on time even once with all the blame goes to "issues with my email". On real estate purchases, there is a complete lack of communication until closing day, ended up closing on a real estate deal in cash because they couldn't handle the mortgage on a rush basis. There are better choices in Grande Prairie for legal firms, stir away from this one!
