Had a very undesirable experience with this firm. Came recommended to us by our excellent realtor and there was a discount involved so we went with them. Legal assistant was disorganized from square one and failed to get in touch when she didn't have mortgage docs two days before closing (What's more is we never met the actual lawyer, as he is on vacation). When we picked up the docs and noticed an error she was flippant and dismissive saying "it's not my problem". It was a bank error which got corrected however the assistant continued to be difficult and wouldn't lift a finger the second their office closed, not even to answer an email. Might I add that on the second set of documents the assistant even removed our realtors discount and still had minor errors despite her being given all the appropriate information. Once she received the signed docs and bank draft she made no real effort to contact the sellers lawyer knowing that being a long weekend Friday arrangements would need to be made for the transfer to be received. Thank you Penner Law for pushing our posession possession back four days, skewing all of our move in plans, including family members coming to help and see our new home, and misrepresenting our lovely realtor who recommended your firm. We'll be in touch. - disappointed (almost) home owner.

I bet Mr. Penner is a fantastic man, if we had ever met him. We had to go into the office ONE time to pick up some documents to get them noterised at another law office because Mr. Penner was on vacation. Meanwhile intoduce Gloria, the grumpy receptionist/assistant who after messing up writing our legal documents TWICE proceeded to not submit our down payment before a long weekend stating " we're closed so you have to wait" and " that's not my problem" in a rather rude agressive tone. Also requesting the assistant of our banker to organize the documents and failed to communicate with the sellers lawyer multiple times. We are now screwed out of our home for the long weekend because a lazy receptionist who gets paid what I can only wish to make in a year can't submit a check before she ditches out. Oh, don't forget the part where she added 300$ to our legal fees without telling us. Oops I guess eh? - a guy who should be moving into his house.
