This lawyer is a snake

Jacqueline Horton is a very fake person.. she can be polite to your face when convenient to her. She does not care about her clients true well being. She cares about money. In a family law case she will simply ignore the truth and side heavily on winning. She does not seem to understand the true needs of a family. She will willingly try to destroy a family without any good reason, simply to make her case win by any means. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone. She is disorganized and has a unkind demeanour.

I originally went to see Jackie Horton on the recommendation of a friend who happens to live in the same neighborhood where she lives. I wanted advice on how to get representational 7 power of attorney for my beloved "wasband" (ex husband who is now my best friend!) who now suffers from dementia. While I had initiated contact with her, she insisted that my husband's son from first marriage who has the financial power of attorney, come along. She never discussed her price and I still have no idea what my wasband was charged for the consultation. I felt absolutely zero loyalty from her since I had initiated contact, and she immediately changed camp to my wasband's son from first marriage. I do not feel confident in her services at all. I wish I had never contacted her at all. I asked on behalf of my wasband who has dementia, to give him a copy of the financial power of attorney which his son holds. She refused to do that. She decided to take his will without any consultation with any of us, probably to retain services one day. None of this was discussed. I found this to be very unprofessional. I definitely would not recommend this lawyer, especially in complicated cases of power of attorney, and representational power of attorney, called Rep7 agreements.

Jackie was a lawyer for a friend of mine for years. I know for a fact how much my friend valued her. I am now executrix for this friend's estate and Jackie has been wonderful in helping me probate the estate. I send an e-mail...she e-mails back...I phone and most of the time she picks up the phone right away or she calls me back as quick as she can. I have even had calls from her on Saturdays. I have no hesitations in recommending Jackie if you need a good lawyer.

I have had the opportunity to use Jacqueline Horton’s legal services both personally & professionally as a realtor referring buyers & sellers for 10 years. Personally, Jacqueline has always spent the extra time to explain the details of our business. Both my wife & I have always felt confident in the advice Jacqueline has given us. Neither of us has ever felt rushed & have always left our meetings comfortable all our questions have been answered. Professionally, I have referred many dozens of my real estate buyers & sellers to Jacqueline. I can say that every one of these clients has been happy with her service &most have indicated they left their meetings feeling better informed & feeling more comfortable & knowledgeable than with other lawyers they have dealt with. I know that many of them have continued to use Jacqueline for personal legal services. I feel very comfortable recommending Jacqueline as a lawyer. I know she will always be our “go-to” person for all legal issues.

I have used Jackie's services over the past seven years and have nothing but positive things to say about her competence, knowledge, and personable manner. Jackie is an impressive professional woman who cares about her clients and is easily accessible. She always responds to my emails and phone calls the same day, and works long hours and many Saturdays on her cases. I have always trusted her advice and have never regretted doing so. I will continue to retain Jackie as my lawyer and highly recommend her”

I met Jackie Horton almost 4 years ago when I went to see her regarding an estate matter. It was a complex and contentious matter with numerous delays. Jackie provided excellent legal advice, understanding, and support. She presented my case before the court on at least 3 occasions with professionalism and integrity. She has a good rapport with the court, is effective with interviewing and her legal briefs were well written. It has been resolved now and I thank Jackie for the services she provided and fair billing.
