I am a first year university student, working towards my Honors Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the Schulich School of Business. I took six courses at Don Valley Academy; both night school and day school. I had great marks in grade 10, but like many kids, found the transition from grade 10 to grades 11 and 12 quite difficult, and as a result, my marks dropped. On top of that, I didn't have any idea what I wanted to study, or where. Alex really helped me to figure out what I should study. He sat down with me, looked at my marks, and assisted me in choosing courses that I was interested in, and that would get me somewhere. But most of all, the teachers are extremely motivating, and encourage you to believe in yourself. They are knowledgeable, and teach you everything that you need to know to succeed in your university studies. They are always willing to help; both with homework, and with things outside of the classroom, such as preparation for university interviews. All in all, they create an atmosphere for successful learning to take place. Like many others, I was a smart kid, who, in grade 12, got a bit overwhelmed. I needed that little push to get me on the right track again, and Don Valley Academy did just that

I went to Don Valley Academy full time for 6 months and was able to complete 12th grade. I graduated with a 93 avg. I am planning on going to the Ivey program at Western. Specifically, every teacher is amazing and VERY qualified. I had Trisha Smith for 11th and 12th grade English; Ryan for Data, 11th grade math, world issues, international business and advanced functions; Tristian for Calculus. The school was life changing in the education and knowledge I gained and the life friends I made.
