I have a great experience every time I visit Wentworth. Sales staff are friendly, patient and informative...answering my questions and more importantly (to me) saying so when they don't know the answer and then we figure it out together. I always appreciate that approach. They may not always be able to match the lowest possible price found on the internet, but I always feel I have received the best deal for what I'm after at a very competitive price. And where its possible, for instance on a couple of beautiful older stock guitars that needed to move on and make room for something new, I have received an amazing deal. I've been taking lessons for a couple of years now and feel the method and approach fits my needs perfectly. Moving from just learning songs, to adding some theory when I'm ready for it. Patience and flexibility make my weekly lesson enjoyable....something I look forward to. Service, when needed, has been exemplary as well. My instruments are taken care of as if they were their own. I feel that any concerns I have with current playability are listened to and recommendations for resolving my concern are considered and relevant to my skill level. Not just the 'standard' fix. This really feels like a family run business, with people that care about me and that they are making an investment in my musical future.

Poor communication and unpleasant receptionist Instructor cancelled on us told us she was leaving and to get a refund, no big deal it happens, then a week later I pop in to the office, they have no clue what Im talking about, they say "someone" called us to rearrange instructors but dont know who and when ( no one called ), then I call 4 days later and the receptionist has forgotten our phone call where I said no to rebooking with a new instructor, gets upset at me and says shes confused...dont see whats confusing about admitting you made an error, apologizing and getting on with it but no "someone" will call me back "later" to figure it out...

I am impressed by Wentworth music's selection of products, pricing, and their staff's friendliness and enjoy shopping here. I wish they had more synths and keyboards, and more mandolins and other non-guitar stringed instruments, but there you go, nobody's perfect. A very nice guitar section, and a pretty excellent percussion/drum section. I am originally from Toronto and frankly a town the size of Kelowna can't have anything to rival Cosmo Music or Long and McQuade in Toronto but for the size of the city this is one fantastic music store. Update: I also visited Keystone music, and it turns out Keystone and Wentworth are owned by the same folks, and that Keystone is where the large collection of Pianos, and a pretty great new and used selection of Synths lives. For guitars, drums, bass, Wentworth has the best selection, and for keyboard people, visit their sister store Keystone.

Yes... BIG place with a thousand things on the floor, but this place has great staff who really seem to care about your experience with what you purchase. This is really the only choice in the central Okanagan.
