Fredericton Christian Academy

DO NOT GO HERE. I wish I could leave zero stars; even a one star review is too generous. Please keep in mind that many of these five star reviews are from school staff. Michele Livingstone, Mark MacKay, JK Griffin, and David Vance are all teachers at the school, and Lucas Candy is the principal. Look on the website to see for yourself. Also note that the clubs and extracurriculars listed on the website are lies. Here are the clubs that they claim to be available but were never offered in my time there: Softball, snowboarding, golf, mountain climbing, track and field (one of my classmates had to join the FHS track team because of FCA’s lack of a track program), dance, sculpture, graphics, and design. Most of the teachers here are either unqualified, extremely ignorant, or both. Multiple teachers here don’t even have teaching degrees. So many of the teachers spend more time gossiping about their students than investing time and resources into actually teaching them. Not only that, the environment is extremely toxic. Half of the high school students are so insufferable, disruptive, and disrespectful in class that it makes it difficult for other students to learn. As the years have gone by, I have watched FCA get worse and worse. Not only has the quality of the education declined, the administration has started prioritizing the dumbest policies over the wellbeing of their students. Their principal spends hours at a time camped out by the girls bathroom to keep track of who goes in and out, when he could be focusing on the rest of his racist and downright malicious students. BEWARE IF YOU ARE BLACK OR INDIGENOUS. The racism I encountered there was out of a history textbook. The racial slurs and micro aggressions I heard were a regular occurrence at that school, and students were given a slap on the wrist at most and that would only happen if you pestered admin enough to actually act and discipline the students. All in all, it was a terrible environment and the curriculum was so behind that the high schoolers’ grades were severely inflated and many went into university completely unprepared. Absolutely awful.

My daughter has been going here since kindergarten. Every year I am more amazed by the staff and the quality of learning. My daughter grows and learns at FCA. Such a caring staff that treats you like family.

This school is awesome! My boy has been attending for 3 years and we’ve seen so much growth. Planning on sending our daughter next year! The teachers and staff care so much for the students. No better place to send your kids!!

We moved to Fredericton about two years ago and have found a home at Fredericton Christian Academy. My child immediately developed wonderful friendships in his class, and has been really enjoying his time at FCA. Teachers are able to give one on one assistance, and have shown they truly care about the kids in their classroom. Highly recommend FCA if you are considering schools.

This school is wonderful and has such amazing teachers and students, the curriculum itself is remarkable. I would highly recommend it FCA is one of the best schools you'll ever lay eyes on.
