The Dominican Sisters never cease to care for their students. They are always willing to help those in need whether it is a run to the hospital or listening to a problem or concern of one of the girls. I am very grateful for all that they do for us. - Luciana Lapka

HNJ Academy is run by a group of beautiful and holy Dominican Sisters. Their dedication to the girls in their charge is evident in all aspects and one they take very seriously. We have been very blessed to be a part of this Academy.

The Teachers at this School are wonderful. They care about their students and want what is best for them. They do not approve of bullying either. Students must work hard for good grades; they have a better education. When students are sick, they are taken care of, I was brought to the hospital many times when needed. If you want a good education for your children this is a good school to send them.

This is a great school! Sure the food isn't the best sometimes, but you can't expect it to be five star either. If you want to go to a beautiful Daily Mass, Rosary, and High Mass in a newly built chapel, come here. even Benediction, and Adoration are here too. The Mothers are very kind. Sure, you do go on walks on Sundays and Saturdays, the weather up here can be very, very cold. Make sure you have a good set of snow boots and a nice warm coat, or two. You get a good education, learning Latin, Greek and French, interesting Doctrine class as well as other classes. Sometimes there can be drama but it's an all girls school. Many I know are very nice. Weekend activities in the evening on Friday and Saturday afternoon are woodshop, sewing, PE (games), art, baking and more. There is also a large field that is the school's property, and it is very pretty in the summertime too. It's a big sacrifice, sending your daughter away from home and a positive attitude is needed. But she will be surrounded by Dominican Sisters, beautiful Sacraments, and a good education.
