Delano Academy Review

Unfortunately we did not have a positive experience with Delano Academy. When our family had an emergency health related issue, the management was not helpful to say the least. It seemed that the school is more like a business and less than an educational institution. We are very disappointed with Delano.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Delano Academy and was thoroughly impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the high standard of education provided. The staff are exceptionally dedicated and caring, fostering a supportive and enriching environment for students to excel academically and personally. The facilities are modern and well-equipped, ensuring a comfortable and stimulating learning experience. It's clear that Delano Academy prioritizes the well-being and development of its students, making it a standout choice for anyone considering it for their child's education. Highly recommended!

I recently had the opportunity to explore the offerings of this private school through the experiences of my friend’s children. I highly recommend this private school. The staff and teachers are excellent, caring, and committed to student success. The advanced curriculum and top-notch facilities make it an ideal choice for any child’s education.

Overall friendly and polite staff, however, this school needs substantial improvement in many domains. Initially our daughter joined the north maple location, however, at some point - possibly due to lack of adequate number of students - they transferred them to the Thornhill location. To my surprise, in the Thornhill campus classrooms were literally located in an underground/basement area with minimal decoration and equipment. Over time, I realized that the paedagogical methods applied in class were quite anachronistic especially in regards to stimulating students' curiosity and regulating their emotions. In one of my visits, I felt quite appalled when I observed a staff member instructing a student who was speaking in their native language with another student that they were only supposed to speak English in the school premises. Eventually, my disappointment aggravated when we decided to transfer our daughter to another school after she had only attended Delano's for 5-6 weeks and the school's refund policy appeared to be quite ambiguous. At the end, we received no money in return even though we had paid for the full school year. The school definitely does a great job promoting the school's events and activities in social media. However, considering the above-described limitations that is not even remotely sufficient to compare it with elite private schools in downtown Toronto as well as other major cities in Canada, US, and other places. I am referring to all that because I personally studied in private institutions and have a tangible experience on how an elite private school is supposed to look like as well as the services, resources, and opportunities that is supposed to offer to its students. I would definitely not recommend this place for educational purposes considering all the limitations described. EDIT: Response to the owner's following comment: Based on your response, it is quite ironic and paradoxical that since our child moved to her new school environment, she is very happy and has been flourishing. All the best to your mission.

My name is Rohaan Waraich. I can’t tell you how much I miss this school. First all of the teachers are very nice. Second the school cares about you. Third they have excellent teaching. And last everyone there is very welcoming and it is very easy to make friends at the school. I went to the school for 3 years and I miss very much. I really recommend this school.
