If you are looking for a hair stylist that really listen to what you want, look no further... Melissa is the stylist of your dreams. Highly experienced, and just have an eye for beauty. I get my hair dyed and cut by Melissa every few months, and every time I leave the salon amazed and happy. Do yourself a favour and get your hair done here, thank me later.

Melissa is the best hairstylist I've ever had. Melissa colors and cuts my hair exactly how I envision it every time. She has a natural ability to guide her clients when it comes to making any hair decisions. Melissa looks at your natural hair color, eye color, face shape and other features to offer her professional yet caring opinion to help clients ensure they leave feeling beautiful. She's a true professional in her field that is passionate about what she does. Her joyful and youthful approach to her business makes every visit so refreshing. The location is also amazing in the heart of Unionville. I can't speak highly enough of the quality of service provided by Artbox Hair Studio. Book your appointment today!

I’ve been seeing Melissa for years for my cuts and colour. She’s an expect when it comes to blonde. She’s so attentive and always listens to exactly what I want. She always makes sure I’m comfortable and happy with my hair. I would highly recommend Melissa to anyone!

10/10 would recommend! Prior to Melissa I would dread getting my haircut, but now I always look forward to getting a fresh chop! Melissa is friendly, professional and always provides A+ service :)

paid $650 for a haircut and colour that wasn’t even close to what was requested. See image. The salon is cute and charming. There are only a few chairs for two hair dressers (Emily and Melissa). The two sinks in the back are separated by a plastic partitioned, following COVID health guidelines. I had some very high expectations coming and really wanted grey/lavender hair. My first appointment was with Emily. She said that I probably won’t be getting exactly what I wanted in this session, but we spoke about it being darker purple and she would make her best attempt at getting close. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out the way we wanted. Instead my hair remained black with some dark brown near the bottom. The salon asked to give it another try the next week. They charged me $650 for the session and that included my $80 tip for the service. This took 5 hours. I honestly didn't want to deal with finding another sitter for my lo (especially during a pandemic) and was worried that my hair wouldn't turn out well. I messaged the salon about a refund. Melissa said she would move her schedule around to get me in to fix my hair before my birthday. Melissa was very pleasant. She walked me through the coloring process and explained that the hair I was looking for took many sessions to get to, especially for my hair - which was still level 1 (black) despite the first stylists lightening attempt. We would have to bleach it to the lightest shade possible to achieve that look I wanted. She showed me swatches and came to an agreement that I would leave with purple hair (Dark purple). This was about 5 hours as well. In the end my hair did not have a discernable hint of purple, and random patches of hair were left completely uncoloured. It is now a dark brown with random uncoloured grey patches (to be fair, I have a lot of hair so it may be more difficult not to miss patches). Overall, Melissa remained kind and professional despite providing two attempts and leaving a client unsatisfied with the end result.
