Excellent experience at this Salon. Holly gave me an incredible sunburst ombre. She took the time to consult with me to figure out the best cut and color. The color she achieved on my hair is remarkable; many people on the street have commented! She was gentle, professional and attentive. Everything else about the salon--from making the appointment to the friendly staff--was also great. I'll be back to have Holly work her magic!

I haven't even gone in for service yet, and I'm already disappointed. I bought two Groupons -- one for facial and one for hot stone massage. I had to leave three messages before someone called me back to schedule an appointment. Was told I couldn't have both services on the same day, so have to come in on separate days. And, the soonest appointments were not for another month. Apparently, they only have one masseuse and one person doing facials. Moreover, the person on the phone (Sarai?) was less than apologetic. So much for customer service. 7/2/16 update -- I went in for facial and told that there were no appointments for me. When I talked to owner, Judy, she said that Groupon had notified them yesterday that I was being refunded for services. When I asked why I was not called about appointment cancellation, I was told that Groupon was supposed to call me. I pressed that the appointment was with and through them, and she raised her voice to say Groupon was supposed to call me. She offered no apology or explanation. When I called Groupon, they confirmed that a refund had been requested, not by Groupon, but by the merchant. Also, the place was in shambles...boxes everywhere and nowhere to sit. They may going out of business.

Look no further for a terrific salon; Givae is it. The caring ethic of the owner, Juvi, is evident in every feature, from the warmth and attention of the staff to the relaxed, genial vibe that greets you as enter from the bustle of Piedmont Avenue. Givae delivers its services with professionalism, spot-on responsiveness and a personal connection that keeps clients returning. How did I discover Givae? I asked a co-worker with "the best hair in the office" to share her secret (thanks, Louise!). And thanks, Givae!

I have been getting my hair cut (as well as color and facials) with Givae for more than a decade now. In my experience, the services there are beyond first rate... She thinks about what she is going to do for me, and how it will affect my life. Priceless! This is the best salon experience I have ever had over a long span of years. Anyone who has gone to her on my say-so has concurred with my high estimate of Givae's Salon (so it isn't just me!).

There are Aveda Salons and then there are salons that sell and use Aveda, this one being part of the second group. I realize that everyone has to start from somewhere, but a person should know when booking an appointment the stylist in quite inexperienced and they should not be charged the prices of an experienced stylist. Both stylist I observed were being taught by the owner including the girl working on me. I felt like I was in a hair school, which is fine if that is what you are looking for. It took my stylist 2 1/2 hrs to complete a partial foil. I was booked for a haircut, but couldn't bare the thought of sitting any longer. When my foil was complete I was very unsatisfied. The length of the hair is not evenly colored, I have holiday spots, the front where she started is almost white(because she used too high of volume which I warned against) and I already have 3-4 weeks of grow out. I did not feel I should have to pay full price, the owner said there policy is to give 10% off, still almost $100 and have me come back and the owner would work on me. I quickly opted out since driving back an hour away to sit through more hours in a salon chair did not appeal to me.
