Located conveniently at 555 Sutter in downtown San Francisco, Studio Hix is not-so-quietly rising the ranks as one of the hottest salons in the Bay area! With Sara Hix (previously at Moxie Parlour) at the helm, no wonder this ship sails so smoothly! Psst...by the way I heard they have delicious libations upon request...but you didn't hear that from me. When you come in, tell 'em Barber Walter's sent ya! Hat's off to professionalism, class and being downright GOOD people!

Sarah has styled my hair for the last 10 years. She's got an amazing eye, listens to what I'm looking for, and takes the extra time to give me an amazing cut that grows out into something just as lovely as the fresh cut. I've never had the pleasure of seeing any of the other stylists at her salon, but many have stayed with her just as long as I have or longer. The salon is clean, light filled, and peaceful. I always leave feeling so much better than when I walked in, especially when I hear strangers compliment me on the street on my way out (and they always do!).

I've been going to Sara at Studio Hix for almost fifteen years. I've followed her from several different salons, and I'm so excited that she has put down roots in Union Square! Such a great vibe there, and they only use sustainable products! It's rare to find a small business that cares so much about the environment...and did I mention the haircuts themselves rock? Go Sara at Studio Hix!
