This was my first time getting my hair braided at this shop and I do not like their work. Big knots, large parts in the back, no neatness to braids or twists in my opinion and I wear braids often. I will not be a returning customer.

Will not recommend for takedowns. I went here on November 29th, 2017 to take down my cornrows and braids. I expressed concern, multiple times, to the lady who took down my braids that she needed to be careful and not cut my hair. She impatiently told me, multiple times, that she knew what she was doing; that she could see my hair and was undoing sample braids to be sure of where my hair ended. Well, after it was said and done, 25% of my hair in the back half of my head was cut off in jagged fashion. Hair that fell to my shoulders when wet and unstretched now just hits my nape.

This African hair salon stands above the rest for many reasons. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Over the years that I've been coming, I have had little to no wait to be seen. The owner, Paty, is very talented- fast with beautiful results. (It would take twice as long for most other stylists to accomplish the styles she gives.) I bring my daughter and other family and friends for great styles here!

I've been coming to this salon for at least five years. Ms Pat is always on point with styling my hair. I've always loved the braid styles she's given me. She works pretty fast and most times there are two people working On my hair at the same time. Her prices are very competitive and usually includes the hair. I always get compliments on my hair and recommend everyone who is looking for a great braider who is gentle to the edges to see Ms Pat!

In the past three weeks my sister, my daughter and I have gotten our hair braided here. The service is excellent and it is super affordable. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to get their hair done for an affordable price with great service and most importantly best looking braids.
