I have had visited numerous high end priced salon in my country and one mid range priced here (Paul Brown) I have to say Mai’s haircut is the one that got me multiple compliments even from my picky Asian families. Four months in I still get compliments for my hair style from my friends across board and even from coworker through Skype meeting !!! No joke. She was suspicious when I pointed out to her I want an A line cut but after she did it it was the best haircut I have ever had. This is rather an unassuming hair salon but don’t be put off by it because she is very very good at what she does and she does it at a very good price.

We were visiting Honolulu and I had to style my hair for a photoshoot. After my salon blew me up, I googled Mai and she was sweet enough to get me in with a two hours notice. She not only accommodated me on last minute but gave me an amazing style. My hair was very long (below my waist line) but Mai managed to style it fabulously in half an hour! The curls styayed for three whole days! Plus she and her colleague gave us great tips about traffic and places to visit. Mai, I promised you I would upload a good picture of my styled hair but we haven't gotten to it yet. I would do it as soon as we manage to finalize the pictures. Thank you so so much for making my day special with the great hairstyle! It couldn't have been better. As my husband have said 'Mai is professional and knows her stuff!' Mahalo!

Mai has been cutting my hair for more than 4 years now, every month. She is very professional, and skilled at what she does. I haven't had a bad haircut in 4 years! I've got a number of friends that come here as well, and they also are very satisfied, which can be seen because they keep coming back :-) Even when work gets in the way, and I have to reschedule, she always is accommodating and will do what she can to fit me in. So good haircuts + good customer appreciation and service = the kind of stylist that I enjoy doing business with.

Mai is that very rare breed of hair cutters that takes the time to listen to what her customer wants. If you bring in a picture of a 20 year old with a hot hairstyle and you are 80 years old and want to look like that, she won't say that she can make you look like that, but she will give good advice and give you the look that you want, with modifications that suit your own particular hair and style. She is also so very nice. And super reasonable in her charges. Numero uno in Aunty's book!
