A Week or 2 ago I called to see if they had any appointments for the morning. The young lady told me yes for 9:30 am. I also informed her that I had somewhere very important to be by 1:00 so she said they will be done in time. The next morning I came up there at 9:20 and the shop was not open. An hour pasted by and no one still came i tried calling and nothing . so i waited another hour now it was 11:15 And no one was still there. i ended up having to cancel my plans because they decided to be late to work. This is not an professional business. you don't tell a customer come in a 9:30 am and keep them waiting for hours knowing they have to be somewhere.

They have a groupon where they will do a sewin with leave out, upon making my appt. I was informed that they will make 4 big braids and if you want smaller braids it is extra money....they do not mention this on the groupon. When I arrived the shop was dirty, very cold and the girl looked very ratchet and she is very unprofessional. She did not leave leave out around my edges, only on the top so I could not put my hair up in a pony tail if I wanted to, also I had to leave and go get more hair. Read the reviews next time this shop has many bad ones.

I called around noon today to see how soon I could get an appointment. I was offered a 3:30 PM appointment today. I was 3 minutes late. But when I discovered I was going to be late I called to see if it was okay to still come. Even if I would be about 10 minutes late. I was told yes I could still come in. I got there at 3:35 and there was a young lady getting her hair done. At 4:30 the young lady in the chair was finished. In the mean time I had to listen to some of the most vulgar music. After about 15 minutes Diamond, the stylist I was waiting for, asked the foul mouth receptionist to change the music. To make the entire horrible experience worst. Diamond instructed another young lady that was also there before me to have a seat in her chair. It was at that point I decided to excerise common sense as a consumer. I walked out! She (Diamond) didnt greet me when I arrived. She didn't even acknowledge I had entered her place of business. When I got in my car I called a salon closer to my home. They offered me an appointment right away. Thankfully I encountered the total opposite of Diamond and Remy Salon. All of this being said. Dont waste your time at Remy Salon on East 87th Street.

Terrible but the young lady who serviced me was so pleasant and patient. She should be somewhere where she is appreciated.
