I put my name on her list of apparently potential customers to have my hair cut. After waiting 3 weeks I went in person to have my hair cut. Apparently she doesn't take people who are only getting a hair cut. People before AND after me had already been crossed off the list. They were getting hair, nails, eyelashes, etc done. I waited 2 additional weeks and finally said forget it and went to Salon Sonores at 860 Dorchester Ave. not only is Kristen extremely skilled but she is a sweet heart. I noticed Harbor Point Salon recently started taking credit cards. Businesses here in Harbor Point are very resistant to that (convenience store only takes them if purchase is over $6). Whatever the reason is if you simply want a hair cut don't hold your breath for that to happen here. I gave her one extra star because I had my hair done there about a year ago (before credit cards were accepted) and it was very well done albeit on the expensive side.

Expensive like a high end salon with not really good services. The lady over there talks more than she works and somehow it's very difficult for her to understand what people talk. You need to say the same thing again and again to make her understand. For underarms waxing she took 30 mins- a procedure which is more painful the slower you do it has been made the most painful ever for me. I never went there after that. My roommate got her eyebrows shaped and felt bad for a week, for the shape of her brows after shaping. It is good only for the reason that it is inside the harbor point apartments community and accessible for times when you cannot go into the city. The timings are also not consistent, they close in the mod of the days sometimes unnoticed. Overall, it is not worth the money and time.

The 4 stars totally go to the lady Heidi, who did my hair and highlights! She is so meticulous and is excellent at her job. She is very friendly and gives sincere recommendations if you are up for trying out something new. Just loved her and I shall recommend her if you are looking for experimenting with your hair! or even want a basic cut. The minus one star is for the prices, given it's Harbor Point, expect that!
