I had the best experience with everyone I came in contact with at Salon 8. In the past, I have had a few really bad experiences with hair and have developed a great deal of anxiety around the process of finding a new stylist and getting my hair cut and colored. I knew I needed someone calming and patient who would listen to me and not just rush me through. The staff recommended Michael to me and he was phenomenal from start to finish. He went above and beyond listening, asking the right questions, getting a feel for my hair and offering suggestions based on my coloring, face shape and general style. His advice was excellent and his cut and style were perfectly on point. He gave me pushback when I asked for things that wouldn't work for my hair type - exactly what I was looking for. He also gave me excellent tips for how to style my hair with the new cut. Truly full-service. It is obvious they aim to stand out in the industry, and they have accomplished it. I have been to very high end salons in Switzerland, Paris, London and New York. This is the best service I have ever received. Each one of the ladies working at the front were super kind and went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I would expect a salon like 8 to have high caliber stylists that can accomplish whatever look one wants, but to be treated with such kindness and deference was exceptional in an industry that often seems to value snootiness (often with no substance). Michael is a wonderful person and a damn good stylist - this place is a gem in this industry - so grateful to have them here in Charlotte!

Just last week, I went to Salon 8 for the first time. I have never had SO many compliments on my hair! Yvette was my stylist and she was absolutely wonderful. My highlights are beautiful, and the cut is perfect. She was so accommodating and even advised me to part my hair differently because of my face shape. It's a really elevated experience at 8, and I am definitely a new loyal customer!

If I could rate this 10 stars I would. 8 years ago I attended an event at this salon & quickly fell in love with the entire staff. I have very thick, naturally curly hair that I wear straight. Prior to coming to 8 my hair had an undercut...the bottom section of my was a buzz cut because my former salon admittedly told me that they were overwhelmed by my hair & didnâ€™t know what to do with it. A week after my initial visit I received a handwritten card in the mail from a stylist I had spoken with the night of the event and it simply said that she couldnâ€™t wait to get her hands on my fabulous hair. I was just as sold then as I am today. Over the years I have been to several stylists due to changing work schedules & the fact that I work in a school and live in SC. Every visit...no matter who has cut, highlighted or blown out my hair is always consistently on point. This speaks volumes to the caliber of stylists at 8. Continuous on-going education with top professionals in the hair field only makes this salon achieve even higher standards. Excellence is the absolute standard at 8. I have always been treated as a valued customer by every staff member at 8 and especially by Rodger & Amy. Rodger even sent out his own handwritten card last year to just say a simple thanks. I am grateful that over the years they have become more than just stylists to me and consider so many at 8 like second family. I could not possibly recommend them more highly.

I recently visited as a hair model and I was so pleased with my whole experience! The place was amazing, the vibe was very welcoming, everyone was such a delight and my hair turned out fantastic! Will definitely be going back! Thank you guys! You're the bomb!
