These aren't very friendly people at all!! It's as if she really doesn't want to do black hair. Strange considering her skin is as dark as mine and our hair looks identical. We are both black women. Her ancestors were just let off the slave ship at a different port. My hair was done fine though.

I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star. I went here while visiting my mom in Charlotte. I went on a Monday morning right at 10:30am. This lady asks what I want I tell her a roller set, she says okay have a seat. I sit down she starts sweeping the floor mind you its 10:30 and she just opened 30mint ago. The amount of hair she was sweeping had to be from days before. She continues to sweep and carry on a conversation with a lady in the back who's not receiving service just having a long drawn out conversation. I wait about 20mint this still goes on I left and I will never go back. The customer service here is one the worst!

THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD..... EVER! I am a black woman, with fine hair - my daughter and I were searching for a place to have our hair done and was referred to Morena's. I called and spoke to a person and explained that I was looking to establish a regular person to do our hair. My daughter's hair was damaged and I explained that she needed her hair cut in a style, we had the picture and was told to "come on it, Morena can do it". Get there, show the lady at the front the picture of the cut... not once did she say Morena did not cut hair. So we went to shampoo bowl, got a protein treatment, then was called to the chair. Was told that my daughters hair would have to be roller set because Morena did not have the equipment to cut her hair, huh?!?!?!?!? What kind of equipment is needed to cut!!!! So, here my daughter is sitting there, dripping wet hair, no relaxer since God knows when, and they are looking at her hair as if they have never seen hair before. A roller set is gonna look a hot mess, I made it clear before we drove there what the main purpose of the visit was, to establish a regular hairdresser, and get my daughters hair cut! If I knew the machinery needed to cut her hair was NOT in that shop, we would not have wasted time there that day as my daughter was home for Spring break from college and this was our bonding day. When I expressed my displeasure, I was told "well if you wanted a cut, you should have gone to a BLACK salon, this is a dominician shop"... then the lady that lied at the front desk decides to get a attitude of her own and told me that I did NOT have to get rude. Mind you, it is all I can do to keep smiling through this fiasco. So, then they stuck us under the dryer, and NEVER came back to check on us. I ended up taking the hood off my head, and taking the rollers out myself. THEN and only THEN did Morena, who never even spoke to us while we were there in English or Spanish, told another one of the girls, who don't even look old enough to have a cosmetology license, to take my rollers out. I will never pass by that shop again, let alone patronize them.
