After working with Becky Hafner for quite some time, I can’t imagine anyone ever touching my hair again. Becky is a stylist, who at the end of every day, takes each client home with her and and ponders new ways to improve their hair. I’ve recently been diagnosed with a medical condition that’s causing my hair to thin and fall out. Becky’s A+ experience and dedication in the field of total hair health and extensions has landed her at the top of her field. Located in a quaint and quiet salon in South Charlotte, Becky has 32 years of professional experience and guarantees you’ll leave Sola Salons feeling BEAUTIFUL! -Courtney Allen

I took my 12yo daughter there to get just the ends of her hair colored pink and a very slight trim. I was utterly SHOCKED when I went to check out and it was over $150!!!!! That is beyond ridiculous! I was even more livid after my daughter washed her hair. The color was completely 100% gone. You couldn't even tell she had it colored AT ALL. So....$150+ for 4 days of pink tips on her hair. I took her to my regular hair girl at another highly rated salon. $35, and the pink is still going strong. I will never ever step foot in Hello Beautiful again.

Absolutely LOVE this salon!! I personally see Becky Hafner for all of my hair styling needs and have never been disappointed. Every time I go into the salon I tell her what I would like, often I bring a picture, and I leave with exactly what I asked for if not something better. I have asked her for quite exotic things when it comes to the cut and color of my hair and she nails my hair perfectly every time. Her other stylists are just as talented and the service there is great. I refuse to go to any other salon to get my hair done because this one is simply the best.

This is the first salon I tried when we moved to Ballantyne. We just happened to see it and walked in as we were at that location. Becky the owner was very friendly and enthusiastic about showing me around what was proudly her "pet project". It's a small salon and it does seem to have a loyal clientele, but when I went in for my first appointment there I started becoming uncomfortable. Becky was a bit overwhelming in showing me all that was wrong with my hair (I've already written that in South Park I was pleased with Cutting Image's Emily after having a not so good experience with their junior stylist). Becky started pulling out strands showing how she could tell when I changed stylists and how my hair needed to be more uniform (or something like that, but really? - my hair just is medium brown, I decided I wanted it a bit more golden but am afraid of peroxide, my hair breaks easily). While my color was developing I went next door to POSH (great place) for a manicure/pedicure. Then I went back to Hello Beautiful and Becky had one of her stylists, Brandi (very nice), shampoo and blow my hair out. Oh, when I returned with my hair full of dye, Becky declared "I LIKE what I'm seeing!" (how can you like what you're seeing when the hair is full of developing dye?). The color came out OK, and as I said, I did like Brandi, but this really was not my kind of place. Now here's the clincher. I put together a 25% cash tip and asked the receptionist for a tip envelope. She said (and I've never heard this one in my life) "we don't do envelopes, we have a tip register". I asked "will they know this cash tip is from me?" and she assured me they would. That also made me a bit more uncomfortable. Then my MasterCard statement came and they had added $10 to the amount I had signed for (keep your credit card slips folks). I told my husband who was so P.O.'d HE called the salon and asked "what gives". He was told that they automatically added another $10 to my bill as reception failed to inform Becky of the 25% cash tip I left. THAT IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL! If you choose to go there, and I'd advise you don't, keep your credit card slips and carefully go over your bill when it arrives.
