I came to Shear Genius back in May with my hair a big damaged mess..Brittney and Lauren were so good to me and had my hair looking and feeling great before I left..i will never go anywhere but Shear Genius in Stanley. These ladies are flexible with schedules and are very knowledgeable about hair and hair products. Professional but with a caring and friendly touch..Thanks for making my hair feel and look beautiful again.

I got my hair done here a couple months back by Lauren. My hair was completely ruined. It's damaged as hell now. I recently was able to get my hair fixed after it grew out some and the hair dresser asked me if the girl who did it was standing on a hill. My hair was cut at an angle that no one could understand. And the color was NOTHING I had asked for. I asked for all over highlights and they were only on one side of my head. The "Carmel" highlights were a brassy color. I was very furious about all of this so I called and spoke to Brittany who was completely rude and would not refund my $90 that I paid. And not to mention Lauren was NOT a state certified hair stylist. Brittany was letting her work as a "hair stylist" and charging prices of a hair stylist. I will NEVER give my services back to this horrid place. Maybe she should work on getting certified people in there and this comment wouldn't be here. :) if I could give zero stars I would.

This girl Lindsay Scott 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 The one that’s writing dirty reviews about this place is a joke..she actually liked her hair when she got it done absolutely loved it and even tried to get one of her friends to come..It’s not anyone’s fault the girl went and got a tattoo and blew all of her money at carowinds and wants to wait 3 days to straighten her hair and say it’s uneven (which it wasn’t) just to get her money back because she can’t seem to get her priorities in a row and has a problem managing her money..not to mention sending her husband down there because shes such a grown up herself lol well it’s 6 months later and she wants to write a long paragraph on how someone should run their business?? Sorry but someone that can’t manage their own money right and likes to blow it all then wants to bash on someone saying their hair was all messed up just to get their money back shouldn’t be in or around a business as upscale as shear genius..every person i have ever seen walk in and out of this places loves their hair and the price that the 2 lovely ladies can do it for..this is a great business and a great place to get your hair done i go once every 2 weeks to get a haircut and I’ve never seen a person complain they are always smiling and excited when they leave..so for this girl to run her mouth because she has problems spending her money and taking care of herself it’s just plain childish..

Brittany did an amazing job on my hair. I've had a horrible ombré I have been trying to get rid of for almost a year now everyone who tries to fix it made it worse. When I came here she was very kind to me and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted (and I am very picky when it comes to my hair) She fixed it beautifully at a very reasonable price! Love her and this place! I will definitely be back soon.
