AND WHEN SHE WAS DONE AND THAT BARBER LEFT,SHE STILL SAT THERE AND SAID NOTHING!!! THEN THERE WAS ANOTHER BARBER WHO CAME FORM THE BACK AS IF HE HAD JUST GOT THROUGH EATING HIMSELF AND SAT AT HIS CHAIR AND GOT ON HIS PHONE. HE SAT THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND SAID NOTHING. GOT UP AND LEFT. HE CAME BACK MINUTES LATER AND SAT BACK AT HIS CHAIR AND SAID NOTHING....WOW!!! EVENTUALLY I ENDED UP WALKING OUT AND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GET MY SON'S HAIRCUT SINCE MY MONEY WAS NO GOOD THERE. YOU GUYS REALLY KNOW HOW TO PICK YOUR WORKERS DON'T YOU? SMDH!!!!

I will NEVER RETURN HERE..DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON IF U HAVE NATURAL HAIR..they are very rude & inexperienced with NATURAL 4c hair..All I wanted was a trim & deep condition..was told bc I'm natural I would be charged more..Didn't want to slander my reputation..thats why I didn't go in on stylist, when she was nothing more than a ghetto hood rat that didn't know how to properly detangle natural hair..and didnt know what a wash-n-go was...I will Never step a foot in this place or recommend anyone to go here Period.

Walked in to see if anyone could style my hair for an evening event; like a scene from a movie, everyone, stylists and customers alike, stopped and stared. "This white lady must be lost!" The only free stylist, a guy (sorry, I didn't ask your name, but you're ex-army) took me. When he finished, he turned me around to the mirror: I was horrified! Side-parted, the full side of my hair was all piled up in a falling cascade of horizontal waves. I looked like a meringue! I murmured as I paid, "This really isn't me..." Army just smiled and said, "Just comb it." At home, having walked through Durham humidity, I did just that: a few strokes of my wide-toothed comb and it looked fantastic! Shiny, silky, just the right amount of movement! How did he know??

Thee Worst! Yes, Thee. I swear on the Bible. You can Not get any worst than this salon. They have No clue how to blowout natural hair. I seen one of their clients leave with a "just finished style" and I thought to myself. I would never pay for that. Her friends, husband, or sister must have said the same thing because moments later the lady returned asking for a touch up or refund. The owner (who's been in business for 7 years but its hard to tell due to the service coming from her salon) was very disrespectful and told the client to sit and wait. I should of jumped out the chair right then and left but, I was stupid enough to sit and allow the stylist to continue. Minutes later the police was called because a Second client hated her hair and refused to pay. She was told her blowout would cost $35 but at the register the owner charged her $55 because she had "Thick Roots". In my opinion both ladies were justified to complain. I walked in wanting a blow-out but I left with a pony tail because my hair was so fizzy. It was all I could do to tame my hair. After the police was called on the Second lady, I just paid my money and left. I felt so robbed!!!! If you respect yourself or your money AVOID THIS SALON!!!! Try The Remedy Salon, Amaka International, Beleza Couture, The Suede Salon. All four of these salons are in Durham, they charge less and they do a much better job. Much better!

So I should've read the reviews before I went. However, I'm leaving this review because I just can't believe this. I went out this salon asking for a blowout and trim and said I would get a relaxer touch up if recommended by stylist. Ok I've had a couple of blowouts in the past so I asked the stylist are you gona use the rolling blowout brush? He said yes I just use the flat iron to loosen the roots. He rolled the rolling brush for a short period but basically flat ironed my hair. I have a flat iron at home! The trim was great and so was the deep treatment conditioner. But this is not a blowout!! I noticed my hair looking weighted and he tried to keep flat ironing it. I said my hair won't hold a curl with a flat iron- that's why I asked for a blowout! I'm very disappointed! I payed what they said I owed and left I did purchase the conditioner treatment. But misleading, I sat down with the belief the shop had the supplies and equipment to perform a true blow out! I was supposed to go shopping I was so down I just went home!!
