Famous Hair

I have been going to famous hair salon since last four years, The service used to be excellent. But recently since one year the service is very bad. It takes some time fifteen minutes before some body acknowledges you and takes your appointment. Also I have seen that they take their friends first even though there are people who came before them are waiting. Last time I went (this will be the last) the lady took before she can take my appointment. I was asked to wait. Another lady came in when I was waiting. She was taken first even though I am waiting. Maybe her friend. I sat there like a dumb idiot for another thirty minutes. Inside they are chatting, laughing and hvaving a good time. I walked out after half an hour. My suggestion is go to Great Clips. Great reception and good service. I would not recommend Famous Hair in Knightdale to anybody.

I have been coming to Famous Hair in Knightdale for many years. The staff is professional and extremely competent in all areas of hair care, color and hair styles. They are lead by Annette who has been doing my hair for 26 years. Any of the stylists can do my hair. Every time I leave I feel and look amazing.

I had a wonderful experience here this morning. I walked in, was seated immediately, and had the most relaxing hair wash, cut and blow dry. Suprisingly, I was in and out of there in less than an hour and never once felt rested. Highly recommended.

I had came to the place twice to try to get my hair a light blonde (near platinum but not all the way) and the first time they talked me into getting highlights and the the second time I got highlights that my hair would he fully blonde. I went in for a second appointment about 2 months later to try to get my hair fully blonde and they gave me highlights again (my natural hair color was still in my roots). Anyways if you are trying to get your hair fully bleached I would HIGHLY not reccommend because They talked me out of getting excactly what I wanted twice. I understand that my hair can get highly damaged but I take good care of my hair and let natural oils bulid up on my scalp for Two week so it could be protected. I will not go ever again.

This is to express my disatisfaction with Famous Hair Knighdale Salon with Shannon .Came to Salon Sunday Afternoon 8.20.2018 As soon as arrive as a walking , I explained Shannon I am here for a simple trim for the back of my hair . She seats me immediately!! I was liked WOW. Didn't have to wait a minute.....too good to be true.... Shannon looks at my hair and asks me how I would like my hair to be cut and I reply that I want to adjust the back of my curly short hair since it regrew fast and unevenly after shaving it off 5 months ago... Using my body language I explained with my hand that this is how I want to adjust my hair in a straight line in the back by trimming right under my ears. She looked at me puzzled because she didn't really understand what I meant.This was a 30 seconds consultation! She brings me a book showing pictures of blond short straight hair showing back cuts and compares my hair with, asking me is this is close to what I want. If any picture to compare with it would be short curly hair!! I clearly said that it my hair needed a straight trim in the back so she starts cutting and that ends up with a shape of trapez which is not what I wanted at all!!! So I reminded that I wanted to have my hair trimmed right underneath my ears and shave lightely in the botton to give some shape. I agree to have her adjust my hair on the side and rectify that trapez shape to try to make a straight line . The more she was adjusting the more it looked unprofessional. Left hair salong as soon as I came, disappointed and pissed. Didn't want to tell hair dresser because it was irreversible at that point! Dissatisfied at home I end up shaving the full trapez and that I did not want and hiding bottom of my hair with hairband until it grows back again!! Famous hair will be famous for messing up Customer's hair. I wish Shannon had taken to the time to ask me more questions about my vision of my hairstyle and not rush the whole process. Will not come back ther anymore. Shanon this email is not to throw you under the bus but to advise for a better customer experience taking time during consultation is very important and will determine the results!! Regards Sue.
